Forensic science Job Opportunities, Forensic Science Jobs for Freshers in Government of India Departments

Forensic science is the application of science to civil and criminal laws. Forensic scientists study the various details of a crime and relate their findings to a law court. To achieve this, forensic scientists perform both chemical and physical analyses on the criminal evidence presented by law enforcement agencies like the police. Forensic science applies sciences such as chemistry, biology, engineering, physics, and computer science to matters of law. They employ a variety of problem-solving techniques, sophisticated instruments, microscopic examining techniques, and mathematical principles to explain the complexities of every piece of evidence in a case. While some forensic scientists move to the scene to collect this evidence themselves, others occupy a laboratory role and perform analysis on articles brought to them by the individuals on the scene (mostly crime investigators).
Scope

Forensic science plays an essential role in the criminal justice system; it provides scientifically based information from the analysis of material evidence. Forensic scientists help investigators discover the identity of an unknown assailant, know how blood spatter patterns occur, and learn the composition and origin of evidence such as drugs and trace materials found at a scene. A forensic scientist is also tasked with finding out which facts or items of evidence are relevant. When all that is done, the forensic scientist must interpret the results and write a clear and concise report documenting the steps followed to reach this conclusion and what his or her opinion is of the matter. At some point, and in some cases, the forensic scientist is also tasked with testifying.
