Maharashtra Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries Recruitment 2014 for Junior Accountant and Accounts Clerk 

The Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries, under the Government of Maharashtra was established with effect from 1st February, 1962. The Accounts worked carried out by offices like Treasuries, Local Fund Audit, Accounts office (Treasuries), Store Verification and Vigilance Units, which were working under the control of the Finance Department have been placed under the administrative control of the Directorate after its formation. The indentation behind formation of this Directorate was to bring all Gazetted and non Gazetted posts in various Departments / Offices vacant for accounts works under one roof to form a uniform Accounts Service.

With the recent notification from the Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries, it intends to recruit various profiles of Junior Accountants, Accounts Clerk and Accounts Inspection Clerk at its various divisional offices in the state Government of Maharashtra.

The details of the criteria and other requirements are detailed as follows:

NOTE: Posts are reserved for eligible category of candidates as per rules.

Pay Scale and Remunerations:

• Junior Accountant & Junior Accounts Inspector: The candidates getting selected will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.2800.
• Accounts Clerk & Accounts Inspection Clerk: The candidates getting selected will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 along with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900.
• The candidates will be eligible for other allowances and perks as per norms.

Details of Eligibility Criteria:

Age:

• The applicants should have attended 18 years of age and must not have crossed 33 years of age as on 01-May-2014.

• However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category of candidates from the Maharashtra state as per rules.

Academics:

• Accounts Clerk & Accounts Inspection Clerk: The applicants must have completed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST). The candidates should have Marathi typing speed of 30 words per minute and English Typing Speed of 40 Words per minute. However, the following qualification holders will be preferred for the posts:

1. 10+2 with Commerce
2. Bachelors Degree in Commerce
3. Bachelors Degree in Arts with Statistics, Mathematics or Economics as a major subject
4. Bachelors Degree in Science with Statistics, or Mathematics as a major subject
5. CA/ ICWA Degree holders
6. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
7. Any Graduation Degree with CA/ ICWA (Inter)

• Junior Accountant & Junior Accounts Inspector: The applicants must have completed Graduation Degree in Commerce with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST), or should have any of the following qualification:

1. Bachelors Degree in Arts with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) with Statistics, Mathematics or Economics as a major subject
2. Bachelors Degree in Science with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) with Statistics, or Mathematics as a major subject
3. Bachelors Degree with CA/ ICWA (final) degree holders
4. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration
5. Any Graduation Degree with CA/ ICWA (Inter)
6. Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Application

• The applicants must have proficiency of Marathi language.
• The candidates should be familiar with Computer operation equivalent with the level of MSCIT

• For General & Unreserved category: Rs.360
• For reserved category of Maharashtra: Rs.180
• The fee can be paid through Online Net Banking with Debit/ Credit Cards
• There is no fee for Ex-Serviceman candidates.

Selection Procedure:

• The selection of candidates will be done through a procedure of Online Written Examination followed by Typing Skill Test and Personal Interview as desired by the Maharashtra Treasury Department.
• The decision of the Directorate of Accounts & Treasuries, Maharashtra will be final and binding on the candidates
