CRPF invites applications from eligible male/ female candidates for Constables vacancies in technical and tradesman. The recruitment is only for permanent resident of Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Vacancies according to the states are as follows-
In Maharashtra-total vacancies are 184
In Karnataka-total vacancies are 115
In Gujarat-total vacancies are 95
In Andhra Pradesh-total vacancies are 199
In Tamil Nadu-total vacancies are 165
In Kerala-total vacancies are 61
Important Dates:
Last date of receiving application form along with application fee and other documents is November 26, 2012(1700 hrs).
Eligibility Criteria:
Applying candidate must be 10th passed from a recognised university or board.
Physical eligibility-Height For Male – 170 Cms/Female – 157 Cms. Chest (only for male)- Un-expanded – 80 Cms (5 Cms expansion minimum).Weight- according to height as well as age. Eyesight- vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without any correction.
Technical Qualification:
- For Constable (Fitter): Candidates must have passed Motor Vehicle Fitter Course (Auto-mobiles)/Motor Mechanic Course from ITI or any other recognized institutions and should have one year experience.
- For CT (Driver): candidates should possess “Transport Vehicle” driving licence and pass the driving test at the time of recruitment. DRIVING LICENCES POSSESSED BY THE CANDIDATES SHOULD BE IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 1988.
- For CT (Bugler/ Tailor/ Cobler/ Carpenter/Gardener/ Painter/ Pipe Band/ Brass Band/ Cook/ Water Carrier/Safai Karmachari / Barber/ Washerman/Woman & Hair Dresser): good working knowledge of trade in which he/she wishes to be enlisted.
Age Limit:
Age of the applying candidate must fall within 18 -23 years as on 01/8/2012.
Age relaxation for OBC is up to 3 years and for SC/ST up to 5 years.
Pay Scale:
The pay scale ranges from Rs. 5200- 20,200 along with the grade pay of Rs. 2,000/- .Other allowances will be entertained timely.
Application Fee & How to:
Rs. 50(non refundable) for General and OBC categories male candidates along with the application form through demand draft/crossed IPO /cheque in favour of Deputy Inspector General of police to their respective centre as given in notifications payable at bank/post office at the receiving centre.
SC/ST Male candidates and female are exempted from the fee.
Selection Process:
After getting all the applications ,call letters will be issued to the candidates for further testing stages as follows:-
- Stage 1-Physical Test
- Stage 2-Written Test
- Stage 3-Trade Test
- Stage 4-Medical Examination
- Stage 5-Final Selection
Mode of Application:
Application procedure will be offline. Candidates are required to download the application form from the site and get its hard copy to be filled and submitted.
How to Apply:
Candidates should download the application format given along with the notifications. Send the application form completely filled along with passport size latest photo, two 4’’by 9’’ size self addressed envelopes along with post stamp on Rs. 22 each pasted on it to the respective centres mentioned in the notifications by 26/11/2012(1700 hrs). “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (TECH &TRADE) IN CRPF– 2012” must be clearly mentioned on the application envelope.
