Central Industrial Security Force was established in 1969 as a public sector undertaking. It works under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Since its inception it has emerged to be premium security agency in India.
Directorate General, Central Industrial Security Force has invited applications from only eligible male candidates for recruitment of Assistant Sub Inspector in Fitter, Motor, Mechanic and Auto Electrician.
Nature of The Post:
Temporary but likely to become Permanent.
These posts shall be governed by CISF acts and rules along with Central Civil Services Rules. Selected candidates shall be entitled to pension benefits offered by “New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme”.
Total Number of Vacancies:
There are total 19 vacancies offered by CISF for Assistant Sub Inspector (Fitter/ Motor Mechanic/ Auto Electrician).

Eligibility Criteria:
Person applying for post of ASI must possess a qualification of matriculation or equivalent exam from a recognised university. Besides that he must also possess certification in Fitter/ Electrician/ Motor Mechanic from Industrial Training Institute with 3 year post qualification experience. He may also possess 3 years diploma in Mechanical Automobiles/ Electrical Engineering.
Besides educational qualification candidates must also have some specified physical standards given in brief on website.
Age Limit:
Applicants must be between age of 18 and 25 years as on February 05, 2013.
Pay Scale:
Recruitment of all ASIs will be under PB – I i.e. Rs. 5200 – Rs. 20200. In addition employee will also get allowances offered by Central government from time to time.
Application Fee & How to:
Interested candidates should submit Rs. 50 as application fee in form of postal order. It should be drawn in favour of officer as mentioned below. SC/ ST/ Ex – servicemen are exempted from application fee.
Selection Process:
- Selection of candidates will be made on basis of written examination.
- Those who are qualified in written exam will be subjected to a skill test defined for each post as under:
- ASI (Fitter) – Test of skills for Welding, repair, cutting and maintenance work of fire vehicle.
- ASI (Motor Mechanic) – Vehicle repair, maintenance and servicing etc
- ASI (Auto Electrician) – Repair and maintenance of electrical equipments that run on AC or DC current.
Mode of Application:
Only offline mode of applications shall be accepted.
