The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct computer-based Common Admission Test 2017 (CAT 2017) on Sunday, 26th November, 2017 in two sessions at various centres across 140 test cities; for Admission to Post Graduate Programmes in Management, and Fellow Programmes in Management.

The duration of the test will be of 180 minutes. There will be three sections
Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
Section III: Quantitative Ability

Candidates will be allotted exactly 60 minutes for answering questions in each section and they cannot switch from one section to another while answering questions in a section.

Registration for CAT 2017 will open on 9th August 2017 and will close on 20th September 2017. After submission of Application, candidates will be permitted to download their Admit Card from 18th October, 2017 on-wards, till the date of test.

Eligibility for CAT 2017: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree, with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons With Disability (PWD) categories).

Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply.

The CAT results are likely be declared by second week of January, 2018. CAT 2017 score is valid only till December 31, 2018.

IIM shortlists candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other. The CAT 2017 Scores are also allowed to be used by the listed non-IIM member institutions. List of non-IIM member institutions that have registered to avail the CAT 2017 scores is provided at www.iimcat.ac.in
