With the present initiative of Assam Rifles a recruitment rally has been scheduled to induct people from all over India for specific trade disciplines. The details of the vacancies and the criteria for eligibility to participate in this recruitment rally are detailed as under:
Details of Rally:
There will be two separate Rallies at Kohima and Shilong to select almost 431 candidates for recruitment from 24-June-2013 onwards.
Important Dates:
- Starting Date of receipt of Application: 15-April-2013
- Last date for receipt of application: 14-May-2013
- Date of starting of Rally: 24-June-2013 (onwards)
- Date for reckoning Age and Education: 01-August-2012
Details of vacancies and Trades for Rally:
- For Recruitment Rally at Kohima (Nagaland): Total 232 Posts (SC-14, ST-59, OBC-35 & UR-124)
- For Recruitment Rally at Shillong (Meghalaya): Total 199 posts (SC-29, ST-15, OBC-45 & UR-110)
Trades for Recruitment and Educational Qualification thereof:
- Nursing Assistant: The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology
- Operation Room Assistant: The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology
- Havildar/Pharmacist: The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma in pharmacy of at least 2 years duration
- Religious Teachers JCO (Naib-Subedar): The applicant should have completed Graduation with Madhyama in Sanskrit or Bhusan in Hindi and they need to pass practical departmental test in the profession trades
- Bridge and Road JCO (Naib-Subedar): The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Electrician: The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma/ ITI certificate in Electrician Trade
- Plumber: The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma/ ITI certificate
- Blacksmith: The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma/ ITI certificate
- Draftman (Havildar): The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma in the trade with at least 3 years of experience
- Electrical Fitter Signals (EFS): The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology
- Operator Radio Line (ORL): The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology
- Line Man Field (Lmn Fd): The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with ITI certificate in the trade
- Armourer (Armr): The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology
- RM: The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology
- Electrician (Motor Vehicle): The applicant should have completed Matriculation with, English, Mathematics and Science with Biology with Diploma/ ITI certificate in concerned trade
- Metalsmith: The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with Diploma/ ITI certificate
- Uphoslter: The applicant should have completed Matriculation or equivalent with ITI certificate in the trade
Age Criteria:
The applicants should be between 18 to 23 years as on 1-Aug-2012. Upper age limit is relaxable as per norms for SC, ST, OBC and Ex-SM candidates. PWD candidates are not eligible to apply for these posts.
Physical Standards:
- Height: 170cm (relaxable for categories)
- Chest: 80 Cm (relaxable for categories and with expansion of 5cm minimum)
- Weight: According to Height
Pay Scale:
The selected candidates will be allowed pay as per the criteria for Assam Rifles Personnel
Application Fees:
- Rs. 50 only
- SC, ST, and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from paying any fees
