Indian Air force invites applications from eligible candidates for the courses commencing in JULY 2018 for grant of Permanent Commission (PC) for Men and Short Service Commission (SSC) for Men and Women in Flying Branch.

Training is scheduled to commence in the first week of JULY 2018. The duration of training for Flying Branch is 74 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess NCC Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate on or after 06-August-2015.
Candidates must possess minimum three year degree course (graduate) in any discipline from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 level or BE/ B Tech Degree (four year course) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
Candidates who have cleared section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent are also eligible.
Candidates appearing in final year/semester examinations may apply, but should be able to provide provisional/ original degree certificate issued by University latest by 15 November 2017.
Candidates must have fulfill required physical standards.
Age Limit: Minimum 20 years and Maximum 24 years as on 01 July 2018 i.e. Candidates must have born between 02 July 1994 to 01 July 1998.
Selection Procedure: Candidates will be called for testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, and Varanasi.
Stage-I: Officer Intelligence Rating Test along with Picture Perception and discussion Test will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing.
Stage-II: Testing consisting of Psychological, Group Tests and Interview will commence after document check for the next five days.
Computerised Pilot Selection System (CPSS) would be administered to recommended candidates only. This is once in a lifetime test. Candidates who have failed the (CPSS)/ PABT in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy will not be eligible to apply.
