Candidates must possess full-time Diploma in Mining Engineering or Mining & Mine Surveying from Institute duly recognized by UGC/ AICTE/ State Government/ Central Government and enrolled at NATS Portal.

Candidates must pass Matriculation/ 10th in the 10+2 system of education from a recognized board in India.

Candidates must possess ITI in relevant trade accredited with NCVT or SCVT.

Stipend: Rs. 9000/- for Graduate Apprentice; Rs. 8000/- for Technician Apprentice; Rs. 7700/- for One year’s ITI (NCVT or SCVT); Rs. 8050/- for Two year’s ITI (NCVT or SCVT); Rs. 6000/- for Freshers ITI (NCVT or SCVT)

Western Coalfields Limited was incorporated after nationalization of coal mines in India in 1975. It is considered as one of the largest coal producing company of country as well as one among the eight subsidiaries that are wholly owned by Coal India Limited. Head office of WCL is situated at Nagpur. Moreover the company owns a total of 84 mines along with all the private sector coal mines that spread through Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The company is entitled with a category of Miniratna status on 15th March, 2007 by the government of India under the administrative control of Ministry of Coal.
Keeping in mind the ease of administration, government of India decided to bifurcate WCL and emergence of new company named south eastern coalfields limited took place. A major part of power houses along with industries related to steel, cement, fertilizer, paper, chemical and brick consume the coal of WCL. These industries are mostly situated in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. Since coal is a primary source of energy production therefore it contributes in 50% of commercial energy consumption and 78% of domestic coal production in India.
Along with being the largest coal producer WCL is also largest corporate employer with a staff of about 3.8 Lakh employees. In order to meet the new goals and challenges related to hydro projects the company needs some talented and dynamic candidates who can serve the organisation.
WCL is engaged in providing employment to thousands of young candidates as management trainees and there is also a provision for absorption of experienced candidates to higher grade posts like manager and deputy manager etc. Recruitment of management trainees is based on the All India Selection Test regulated by WCL.
