West Bengal Staff Selection Commission, invites applications through Tathya Mitra Kendras from eligible candidates for recruitment of the post of Motor Vehicles Inspector (Technical), under Transport Department, Government of West Bengal. [Advertisement No. 11/ WBSSC/ 2016]
Motor Vehicles Inspector (Technical)- 17 Vacancies, in the scale of pay Rs. 7100-37600/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4100/-

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed Madhyamik Examination or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board or Council. Candidates must possess diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institution duly approved by AICTE/ WBSCTE or its equivalent.
Candidates must have Driving License for heavy vehicles; and two years experience in a Workshop/ Factory of Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer authorized Workshop/ Service Centre duly registered by a competent Government/ Local Body authority; and have have the ability to read, write and speak in Bengali.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 32 years as on 01-January-2017. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per West Bengal government rules.
Examination and Processing Fee:
For SC/ ST category candidates and PWD candidates of West Bengal State: Rs. 20/- as Processing Fee Only
For All other category candidates: Rs. 200/- as Examination Fee plus Rs. 20/- as Processing Fee
In case of Online Submission of Application: Applicants are suggested to pay the examination fee and/ or Processing fees online through payment gateway using Debit Cards / Credits Cards / Net banking of any bank. Candidates also have to pay Rs. 5/- as Service Charge for availing Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking facility.
In case of Submission of Application Form Through Tathya Mitra Kendras: Applicants are suggested to pay the examination fee and/ or Processing fees through Tathya Mitra Kendras. Rs. 20/- only will be charged by the Tathya Mitra Kendra for filling up of the form and uploading the same along with Scanned Copies of Candidate’s Photograph and Signature and making online payment of Examination Fees and / or Processing Fees received from the applicant.

THROUGH Tathya Mitra Kendras: Government of West Bengal has set up more than 1800 Tathya Mitra Kendras up to the level of Gram Panchayats in the rural areas of West Bengal. Applicants may approach any of the Tathya Mitra Kendras, and so the staff of the Tathya Mitra Kendra will fill up the online application form on the basis of information provided by the applicant. Applicants are suggested to keep the printed receipt with registration number with them for future references.
