Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB), Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced notification for conducting Uttar Pradesh State Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2016 to select Teachers for Classes I-V (Primary Stage), Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage).
The UPTET 2016 notification has been declared by the Parishad for the year 2016-17 and candidates who are interested for a future career with teaching jobs can apply Online through the website of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Parishad at upbasiceduboard.gov.in
Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP-TET) has been designed under the guidelines of the NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and Department of School Education, Uttar Pradesh. UP-TET 2016 has to be cleared by every aspirant who wishes a dream career in teaching in Elementary, Secondary or Senior Secondary Levels in any school in Uttar Pradesh. The UPTET 2016 is one of the most essential criteria to go for teaching job as per the recommendations of NCTE. The UPTET 2016 will be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Parishad under the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The details of the eligibility criteria and the recruitment norms are as under:

Minimum Educational Qualification:
Level – 1 – For becoming Primary Teacher (for Classes I-V): Graduation with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD/OBC/Ex-SM) and BTC from NCTE or 2 years Diploma in Education/ Special Education from RCI/ NCTE. OR Graduation with same percentage of marks with qualifying in 2 years program in NTT (Nursery Teachers Training) or CT (Nursery). OR qualified with Special BTC. OR, completed 4 years course of B El. Ed. OR, 2 years course in BTC (Urdu)/ Special BTC (Urdu) with Graduation.
Level – 2 – For becoming Trained Graduate Teacher Upper Primary level (for Classes VI-VIII): Graduation with minimum 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks and BTC from NCTE. OR, Graduation with 2 years Diploma in Education/Special Education from RCI/ NCTE. OR Intermediate with 50% (45% for SC/ST/PWD) of marks with BA Bed/ BSc. Bed. OR, Graduation with BEd. Or, qualified with Special BTC. OR, completed 4 years course of B El. Ed.

Application Fees: The fee can be remitted by the candidates through a System Generated e-Challan/ Online mode at any branch of State Bank of India as mentioned on the detailed advertisement on www.upbasiceduboard.gov.in only.
Applicants are suggested to pay the application fee through SBI Internet banking/ Debit cards/ Credit cards/ other bank Internet Banking; OR “SBI Branch” option for taking printout of e-challan for deposit in cash at any SBI Branch. In this case, Payment can be made only on (or after) the next working day of Registration.
Mode of Selection: The selection will be done through an Objective type Written Test of 150 minutes (There will be no negative marking), and Interview. Minimum 60% marks will be the cut-off for this selection. This selection will be done strictly on a Merit Listing.
UPTET Exam Pattern/ Scheme: Uttar Pradesh TET Exam consists of two Papers, Paper I & II. Both Papers are contains 150 Objective type papers, each question caries one mark, Total 150 Marks.
UPTET Paper-I: Candidates who want to become a Teacher for Class I to V in UP Primary School.
UPTET Paper-II: Candidates who want to become a Teacher for Class 6 to 8 in UP Upper Primary School.
Candidates who want to become Primary Teacher from Class I to VIII, should have qualified in both papers.
All Question Papers contains Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), time duration is one and half an hour (150 mins), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking.
Primary Level (Class I-V) Syllabus:– This Level is for those candidates, who want to teach Primary Level (i.e. I-V).

For Maths & Science subject candidates have to write part (IV) ‘a’ & remaining all other candidates have to write part (IV) ‘b’.

How to Apply [Apply Online]: Application The candidates may apply through Online Mode only at the website of the UP Basic Education Board at UPbasiceduboard.gov.in
The applicants are advised read through the instructions and guidelines before submission of online Application form. After the completion of first phase of the registration, the candidates need to take-out the system generated fee payment e-Challan and deposit requisite fees in any branch of the preferred banks as stated on the complete advertisement. After the payment of fees, the next and final step of the registration can be carried out. The candidates should save at least 3 hard copies of the application for future reference.
