Lecturers/ Senior Lecturers positions in the SCERT, DIET under the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Tamilnadu;
Junior Lecturers positions in the Government Teacher Training Institutes and in the DIET under the State Council of Educational Research and Training, Tamilnadu; in various disciplines as Tamil, Telugu, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History, Geography, and Physical education.
The Teachers Recruitment Board of Tamil Nadu State is a state government organization responsible for conducting Teachers Eligibility Test and select teachers of various categories for appointment in the schools and other educational establishments of Tamil Nadu.
Lecturer- 166 vacancies in the scale of pay Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4800/-
Senior Lecturer- 38 vacancies in the scale of pay Rs. 15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 5700/-
Junior Lecturer- 68 vacancies in the scale of pay Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-

Upper Age Limit– 57 years as on 31-July-2016.
Qualification- Candidates must possess Masters degree with minimum 50% marks in Tamil, Telugu, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, History and Geography Subjects.
Candidates must possess M.Ed., for Lecturers in Languages or Subjects and M.P.Ed., for Lecturers in Physical Education, with not less than 55% marks.
Candidates applying for Senior Lecturer positions, must have minimum five years teaching experience.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination of 150 marks, followed by Certificate Verification. The venue for the Examination will be intimated in the Hall Ticket. The candidates should download the Hall Ticket from the website. The Hall Tickets will not be sent by Teachers Recruitment Board to the candidates by post.
How to Get the Application Form: Candidates can purchase the OMR Application Form along with Prospectus from 15-July-2016 to 30-July-2016 in person from the Office of the Chief Educational Officers of all 32 Districts in Tamil Nadu on payment of Rs.50/-, in cash towards the cost of the Application Form and Prospectus.
Candidates are advised to get an acknowledgement on the photocopy of the Application Form.
Examination Fee:
Rs. 250/- for SC/ST and Differently Abled candidates
Rs. 500/- for All other candidates
Candidates are suggested to pay the examination fee in any Branch of Indian Bank/ Indian Overseas Bank/ Canara Bank using only the prescribed challan attached with the prospectus.
Candidates are suggested submit Teachers Recruitment Board’s copy of the challan in a separate envelope, along with the application form.
