With the recent announcement from the Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL), it intends to recruit Executives as Assistant Manager (Forestry) and Semi-Skilled (B)- Boiler Operation as well as Semi-Skilled (B)- TG Operators for its Mills in Kagithapuram in Karur District.

Details of vacancies:

1. Assistant Manager (Forestry): 02 Posts (BC-1 (other than BC Muslim), SC-1)
2. Semi-Skilled (B) Boiler Operator: 07 Posts (General-02, BC-02 (other than BC Muslim-01, BC Muslim-01), MBC/ DNC-02, SC-01)
3. Semi-Skilled (B) TG Operator: 07 Posts (General-03, BC-02 (other than BC Muslim), MBC/ DNC-01, SC-01)

Pay Scale Provisions:

• Assistant Manager: The candidates selected for these posts will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.19500 – Rs.24500 in IDA pattern with a minimum Monthly CTC of Rs. 73200 per month as on 01-May-2014
• Semi-Skilled (B): The candidates selected for these posts will receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.7380 – Rs.9310 in IDA pattern with a minimum Monthly CTC of Rs. 32200 per month as on 01-May-2014
• Other perks and allowances as applicable from the TNPL as per its norms.

Educational Qualification & Experience:

1. For Assistant Manager (Forestry): The candidates must have completed full time 4 years B.Sc. (Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture) in First Class Or, a First Class M.Sc. (Botany) full time course. The candidates must have at least 7 years of post-qualification experience as on 01-July-2014 in a Pulp & Paper Mill or State Forest Corporation of which 3 years should have been in the Forest Operation including semi-mechanized harvesting.
2. Semi-Skilled (B) Boiler Operator: The candidates must have completed full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class. They must have a First Class Boiler Attendant Certificate. They must also have minimum 5 years of experience as on 01-June-2014 in the operation of moving grate or Fluidized Bed combustion multi-fuel fired Boilers of evaporation rate 60 TPH and above and working pressure 64 ATA and above with DCS Control.
3. Semi-Skilled (B) TG Operator: The candidates must have completed full time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering with First Class. They must also have minimum 5 years of experience as on 01-June-2014 in the operation of Steam Turbo generator sets with DCS Control of capacity 15 MW and above and working pressure 64 ATA and above with Hydraulic / Electronic governing system.

Age Provisions:

• For Assistant Manager (Forestry): The applicant must be minimum of 29 years of age as on 01-July-2014
• For Semi-Skilled (B) Boiler Operator: The applicant must not have crossed 30 years of Age for General/ BC category, 32 years for MBC/DNC and 35 years for SC/ST as on 01-June-2014
• For Semi-Skilled (B) TG Operator: The applicant must not have crossed 30 years of Age for General/ BC category, 32 years for MBC/DNC and 35 years for SC/ST as on 01-June-2014

About TNPL:

Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Limited (TNPL) was established by the Government of Tami Nadu during early eighties to produce Newsprint and Printing & Writing Paper using bagasse, a sugarcane residue, as primary raw material. The Company commenced production in the year 1984 with a initial capacity of 90000 Tonnes per Annum (TPA). Over the years, the production capacity has been increased to 245000 TPA and the Company has emerged as the largest bagasse based Paper Mill in the world consuming about one million tonnes of bagasse every year. The Company completed a Mill Expansion Plan during December 2010 to increase the mill capacity to 400000 TPA.
