Selection Procedure: The selection will be done through Computer Based Written Examination (Objective Type Multiple Choice) & Written Examination (Conventional Type).
Educational Qualification: SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment Exam 2023 Advertisement
Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), CPWD – Diploma in Civil or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Junior Engineer (Civil, E&M), BRO – Degree in Civil/ E&M Engineering OR, Three years Diploma in Civil/ E&M Engineering, and Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil/ Electrical and Mechanical Engineering works.
Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical) in Central Water Commission– Degree or Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised University or Institution.
Junior Engineer (Civil) in Department of Water Resources– Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Institution.
Junior Engineer (Civil/ Mechanical) in Farrakka Barrage Project– Diploma in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical), MES – Degree in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering OR, Three years Diploma in Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, and Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering works.

Age Specific Criteria: (to be reckoned as on 01-August-2023)
Not exceeding 32 years for Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD
Not exceeding 30 years for Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in Ministry of Ports Shipping and Waterways, BRO, MES, Farrakka Barrage (Project), Central Water Commission, and National Technical Research Organisation
However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit as per rules for SC/ST/PWD and other privileged categories.
Pay Scale & Remunerations: Level- 6 (Rs.35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th CPC

Application Fees: Rupees One Hundred Only (Rs. 100/-)
The candidates submitting their applications on-line should pay the requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of Challan or through SBI net banking and any credit and debit cards.
Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen, as per Government orders.
No Hard Copy of applications need to be sent to the SSC at this moment. The candidates are requested to keep the Printed Hard Copy of Application for future reference.
