DRDO Recruitment 2014 for 105 Scientists in Various Cadre thru Recruitment And Assessment Centre (RAC)

Working under the Ministry of Defence, GOI, the Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO) is working in various areas of research and development of military technology which include armaments, naval systems, instrumentation engineering systems, aeronautics, electronics, missiles, combat vehicles, advanced computing, simulation and life sciences. DRDO is mostly responsible for development of cutting-edge weapons and technology warfare requirements for the defence of the nation and strengthening security measures.

With the recent initiative, the DRDO is inviting competent candidature through its Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC), for various positions of Scientists in DRDS cadre (Defence Research & Development Services) of DRDO under direct recruitment scheme.

Pay Scale Provisions:

• Scientist ‘F’: Rs.37400 – Rs.67000 & Grade Pay Rs.8900
• Scientist ‘E’: Rs.37400 – Rs.67000 & Grade Pay Rs.8700
• Scientist ‘D’: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 & Grade Pay Rs.7600
• Scientist ‘C’: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 & Grade Pay Rs.6600
• Scientist ‘B’: Rs.15600 – Rs.39100 & Grade Pay Rs.5400

Age requirements:

• Scientist ‘F’: The applicants should not exceed 50 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘E’: The applicants should not exceed 45 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘D’: The applicants should not exceed 45 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘C’: The applicants should not exceed 35 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• Scientist ‘B’: The applicants should not exceed 28 years of age by the last date of submission of application.
• However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ ST/ OBC categories as per rules.

Essential Qualification & Experience:

• Item No.1 (Scientist ‘F’) [05 vacancies at DRDO]: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engg. or Technology in Mechanical/ Production/ Production & Industrial Engg/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Automobile Engineering with at least 13 years of Post-qualification Experience. Candidates having Masters Degree or Experience in Armed Forces will be preferred. Candidates having skills of multiple languages such as Chinese, French, Russian, German or Japanese will be preferred.
• Item No.2 (Scientist ‘F’) [02 vacancies at DRDO]: At least First class Bachelor’s Degree in Engg. or Technology in Electrical Engg./ Electrical & Electronics Engg./ Electrical & Power Engg./ Power System Engineering with at least 13 years of Post-qualification Experience. Selection Process:

• The suitability of the applicants will be assessed on the basis of educational qualification possessed, experience at suitable level, professional achievements, aptitude for research etc.
• The prescribed Essential Qualifications/experience are bare minimum standards.
