There is golden opportunity for Candidates looking for career as Teacher (Primary and Elementary Stage). Punjab School Education Board, has notifies the advertisement for Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test PSTET 2015-16.
PSTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking. There will be two papers of PSTET. Candidates who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V, will have to appear in Paper I. Candidates who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII, will have to appear in Paper II. Candidates who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).
The Validity Period of PSTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of results.

Eligibility Norms:
Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage): Candidates must pass Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks, and have passed or appearing in final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
Candidates must pass Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks, and have passed or appearing in final year of four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); OR
Candidates must be Graduate, and have passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Teacher for Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage): Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks, and have passed or appearing in final year of four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed); OR
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with 50% marks, and have passed or appearing in final year of four years B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed; OR
Candidates must be Graduate, and have passed or appearing in final year of two years Diploma in Elementary Education; OR
Candidates must be Graduate with 50% marks, and have passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed); OR
Candidates must be Graduate with 45% marks, and have passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Note: Reserved category candidates will get the relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks for eligibility to apply.
Examination Fee:
Rs.600/- for General/ BC/ OBC Category candidates
Rs.300/- for SC/ ST/ Other category candidates
Candidates are suggested to pay the examiantion fee through Challan (Cash Deposit in State Bank of Patiala/ HDFC Bank), or Online Payment (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking).
