Panjab University, Chandigarh, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor in various disciplines as Commerce, Computer Sciences, English, History, Physical Education, Political Science, Punjabi, and Sociology; in various constituent colleges of Panjab University.

Candidates should have good academic records as defined by the university with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ ST and PwD candiadtes) or equivalent grade in Master’s Degree level in concerned subject from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accrediated by UGC as SLET/ SET.
Note: Candidates who have awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET/ SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in universities/ Colleges/ Institutions. NET/ SLET/ SET shall not be required to such Master’s Programmes in discipline for which NET/ SLET/ SET is not conducted.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100/- plus AGP Rs. 6000/-
