NEET PG 2013 For Admission To Post Graduate Courses MD/ MS/ Post Diploma 2013:
Notification from MCI: For admission to Medical Post-graduate Courses all around the country i.e. National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for Medical Postgraduate Courses – MD/MS/Diploma (NEET-PG) will be held from 2013 onwards .
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India has notified National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi for conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for Postgraduate (PG) Courses commencing in the session 2013.
NEET-PG examination for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses session 2013-14 would be conducted from 23 November 2012 to 06 December 2012. NBE shall be conducting NEET-PG as a Computer Based Test at test centres located at 33 cities across the country.

NEET PG 2013 i.e. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is a new format for All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination. It is first of its kind which is going to be held in year 2103 like the NEET UG 2013. NEET is conducted for entrance in diploma courses like MD/MS/PG in colleges recognised by Medical Council of India. This exam will be regulated by National Board of Examinations. The first slot of its exams will start conducting from 23rd November to 6th December, 2012. It is also a common test for entry in any post graduate medical course in any MCI recognised college of India. It will follow the same pattern as NEET UG.
A list of all recognised medical colleges along with their available seats can be found on website of NEET. There are a total of 314 medical colleges that are offering about 3996 courses with a total number of seats of 17872. However exams considered for AIIMS and JIPMER will be held in separately by NEET.
NEET PG will be a computer based test that will be held in a pre allocated centres across the country. It is to be noted that one will not be able to give this test on internet or from some local cyber cafe. Candidate will need to appear on the specified date and time on specified venue in order to give test. A candidate is supposed to hold a MBBS degree with 1 year of mandatory internship that should be completed before 31st March, 2013. A person will need to qualify the cut off percentile in NEET PG. For general candidates the percentile is 50%, for SC/ST/OBC the percentile is 40% and for PWD it is 45%.
Prometric is the official incharge of managing the tests of NEET PG 2013. Interested candidates can visit the official website of Prometric NEET by going to neet.prometric.com and fill the registration form. An application fee of Rs. 3750 for general and OBC candidates and Rs. 2750 for SC/ST/PWD candidates will apply to register for NEET PG. One needs to buy a bulletin cum examination voucher from any selected branch of Axis Bank prior registration process. This voucher can be easily found on internet along with the notification of NEET PG.
Last date for submission of application forms for NEET is 12th November, 2012. One needs to complete all the formalities before this date for successful registration. There are about 33 centres that are decided for NEET PG examination all over India in cities like Ahmadabad, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Faridabad, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Cochin, Lucknow, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Gurgaon, Greater Noida, Jamshedpur, Indore, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi and other main cities of India. Candidates will be able to schedule their exams at the online registration system based on the availability of test centre on the date, time and venue of their choice on first come first served basis.
Candidate must ensure to enter accurate information about contact and personal details so that no problem occurs in future correspondence. It will be easier for candidates to give only one exam and apply in multiple medical colleges on the basis of percentile gained in NEET PG 2013. It has made life easy for millions of aspiring medical students.
