MPSC Recruitment 2014 For 51 Section Officer in Various Departments

With the recent announcement from Manipur Pradesh Public Service Commission, as the apex authority for all public sector recruitments for the state of Manipur, it is inviting Recruitment Applications from desirous and eligible candidates for the recruitment of  various posts under various departments of the state.  The last date for issue and receipt of application is 25-Aug-2014.

All applications has to be processed through the prescribed format of application as available from the Manipur PSC website or the office of the same.

  • Date of release of Notification: 17-July-2014
  • Date for availability of Application: 25-July-2014
  • Last Date For Availability and Submission of Application: 25-Aug-2014 till the end of office hours

Details of Vacancies:

Education Department (Advt. No. 03 of 2014):

  • Assistant Inspector of Schools (Manipur Education Service Grade-III): 41 Posts [UR-23, ST-12, OBC(Meetei)-05 & OBC (Pangal)-01, DAP (HI)-01]. Out of these only 01 post is reserved for PWD candidates.

Taxation Department (Advt. No. 04 of 2014):

  • Inspector of Taxes: 08 Posts [UR-03, ST-03, OBC(Meetei)-01 & OBC (Pangal)-01]

Tribal Research Institute (Advt. No. 05 of 2014):

  • Deputy Director (Tribal Research Institute): 01 Post [UR]

Law and Legislative Affairs (Advt. No. 06 of 2014):

  • Under Secretary (Law): 01 Post [UR]
  • Assistant Draftsman (Law): 01 Post [UR]

Pay Scale:

  • Assistant Inspector of Schools: The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of PB-II at Rs.9300- Rs.34800 with Grade pay of Rs.4300 along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Inspector of Taxes: The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of PB-II at Rs.9300- Rs.34800 with Grade pay of Rs.4200 along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Deputy Director (Tribal Research Institute): The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of PB-II at Rs.9300- Rs.34800 with Grade pay of Rs.5400 along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Under Secretary (Law): The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of PB-II at Rs.9300- Rs.34800 with Grade pay of Rs.5400 along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Assistant Draftsman (Law): The applicants getting selected for these positions will receive remuneration in the scale of PB-II at Rs.9300- Rs.34800 with Grade pay of Rs.4300 along with other allowances as applicable.
  • Other allowances and perks will be as per the state government norms

Age:

  • A candidate must not have attained 21 years of age and must not have crossed 38 years of age as on 01-July-2014 to be eligible to apply
  • However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.

Education:

  • Assistant Inspector of Schools: The applicants must have completed Post-Graduate degree in any discipline with BEd qualification.
  • Inspector of Taxes: The applicants must have completed Graduate Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce with minimum 55% marks and a Computer Certification of not less than 6 months duration.
  • Deputy Director (Tribal Research Institute): The applicants must have completed 2nd Class Masters Degree in Sociology/ History/ Political Science/ Anthropology/ Geography. PhD Degree is desirable for these posts.
  • Under Secretary (Law): The applicants must have completed Bachelors Degree in Law with 3 years post-qualification experience at Bar or as an advocate OR, must have completed a Masters Degree in Law with 2 years post-qualification experience at Bar or as an advocate. Administration experience in Legal Works is desirable for these posts.
  • Assistant Draftsman (Law): The applicants must have completed Bachelors Degree in Law with adequate proficiency in English and Manipuri. Working Knowledge of Hindi, Experience and competency in Translation from English to Manipuri and vice-versa along with Experience in Legislative is desirable for these posts.

Period of Probation:

  • The candidates selected for these posts will serve respective departments on a Probation period of 2 years from the date of joining (Except for the posts of Assistant Inspector of Schools).

Application Fee:

  • Examination fee for General category & OBC: Rs.200
  • For SC/ST candidates from Manipur: Rs.50
  • For PWD candidates: fees  Exempted
  • Cost of Application: Rs.50
  • The fee can be remitted only by Cash to the Secretary, Manipur Public Service Commission, Imphal.
  • NO other format of fee payment will be accepted.

Mode of Selection:

  • Final selection of a candidate will be made solely on the basis of his/her performance in the Written Examination, and Viva-voice on merit basis
  • The candidates have to produce their original documents on the day of interview.

a)    Candidates must apply through the prescribed format of application as available at the Office of the Manipur Public Service Commission, Imphal on payment of Rs.50 only from the counter (wef. 25-Jul-2014).

b)    The candidates are advised to read through the details of the requirement and eligibility criteria as available at the website of Manipur PSC at //mpscmanipur.gov.in/files/Advertisementmestaxationtrilaw.pdf .

c)    The candidates should apply with facts and actual information.

d)    All candidates should possess the requisite qualification before applying for the Written Examination.

e)    The candidates are advised to keep a true copy of the finally submitted Application for future reference.

f)     The candidates are required to submit their application in person/ through their representative only. In no case the applications will be accepted by Postal service/ courier.

g)    The decision of the commission will be final and binding on the candidates.
