The Indian Navy invites application from unmarried eligible candidates for grant of Short Service Commission in Executive Branch viz General Service/ Hydro/ IT and Technical Branch viz General Service/ Submarine/ Naval Architecture of the Indian Navy for June 2017 Course at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Minimum Qualification Required:
Executive General Service/ Hydrography Cadre – The candidate must possess BE/B.Tech degree in any discipline with minimum 60% of marks.
Executive IT – The candidate must possess BE/B.Tech (Computer Science/Computer Engineering/IT) OR B.Sc (IT) OR M.Tech (Computer Science) OR BCA/MCA with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Engineering Branch (General Service): The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Marine /Automotive/Mechatronics/Industrial & Production/Metallurgy/Aeronautical or Aerospace/ BS Marine Engineering with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Electrical Branch (General Service): The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Telecommunication/Instrumentation/Instrumentation and Control Engineering/ Electronics and Instrumentation /Electronics and Communication/Power Engineering/Control System/Power Electronics with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Engineering Branch (Submarine): The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/Marine/Automotive/Mechatronics/Industrial & Production/Metallurgy/Aeronautical or Aerospace/BS Marine Engineering/Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Automation & Robotics /Industrial Engineering & Management/Production Engineering with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Electrical Branch (Submarine): The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/Control/Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/Power Engineering /Electronics & Communication/Control System/Power Electronics with minimum 60% of marks.
Technical Naval Architecture: The candidates must possess BE/B.Tech in Mechanical/ Civil/Aeronautical/Aerospace/Metallurgy/Naval Architecture with minimum 60% of marks.
Note:The candidates in the final year of Engineering can also apply.
Age Limit: The candidates applying for these executive branches must achieve the minimum age of 191/2 years and maximum age of 25 years. The candidate’s date of birth should be between July 02, 1992 and January 01, 1998 (both dates inclusive).
Physical Standards: The candidates must possess the minimum specified Physical standard in order to get qualified for these Executive Branches of Short Service Commission. There will be no relaxation in the base defined medical/physical standards.
Training: The training is scheduled to commence in July 2017.
Candidates finally selected for Tech (GS) Branch and Executive (GS) will be inducted as Officers in the rank of Sub Lieutenant and undergo 22 and 44 Weeks Naval Orientation Courses respectively at the Naval Academy, Ezhimala, followed by professional training in Naval Ships and Training Establishments.
The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy including free clothing and messing. Full pay and allowances will be applicable for candidates during this training period. After successful completion of training the candidates will be serving Indian Navy for a probation period of 2 years.
Mode of Selection: The candidates will be selected on the basis of SSB interview to be held at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Coimbatore/ Visakhapatnam during November, 2016 to March, 2017
