Total Number of Vacancies: 368
Age Limit: Minimum 18 Years and maximum 35 years as on February 28, 2014. For relaxation in age limit please refer to official advertisement link at the bottom of post.
Pay Scale:
- English Stenographer Grade I, and Gujarati Stenographer Grade I: 9,300-34,800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs.4600/-
- English Stenographer Grade II, and Gujarati Stenographer Grade II: Rs. 9,300-34,800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs.4400/-
Educational Qualification:
- English Stenographer Grade I, and English Stenographer Grade II:
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification.
Applicants must have english short hand 120 w.p.m. speed for Grade I, and 100 w.p.m. for Grade II.
Applicants should have Speed in English Typing 40 w.p.m. or equivalent key depressions with Basic knowledge of Computer Operation.
- Gujarati Stenographer Grade I, and Gujarati Stenographer Grade II:
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification.
Applicants must have english short hand 90 w.p.m. speed for Grade I, and 75 w.p.m. for Grade II.
Applicants should have Speed in English Typing 25 w.p.m. or equivalent key depressions with Basic knowledge of Computer Operation.
Mode of Payment of Application Fee:
For SC, ST, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes, Physically Disabled Persons, and Ex-Servicemen: Rs. 250/-
For All other category candidates: Rs. 500/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the fee in form of Cash voucher in the Current Bank Account No. 30725811785 with the State Bank of India, High Court Complex Branch, Ahmedabad, held in the name of Registrar General, High Court of Gujarat, Sola, Ahmedabad, through any of the Core Banking Service Branches of the State Bank of India.
Applicants are suggested to have ‘Office Copy’ & ‘Candidate’s Copy’ of voucher.
Selection Process:
Candidates will be selected through MAIN competitive exam of 100 marks, Practical/ Skill Test of 50 marks, followed by Viva-voce of 50 marks.
