Directorate of Employment and Training (DGET), Chennai invites applications from eligible candidates for direct recruitment to the post of Junior Training Officer in Government Industrial Training Institutes of Tamil Nadu in the Training Wing of the Directorate of Employment and Training, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of preliminary exam [Objective type test with 150 questions at the 10th Standard level containing 120 questions from Science, Mathematics including mental ability and 30 questions from General Knowledge and current affairs.], followed by main exam.
Junior Training Officer- 329 Vacancies [194 Posts for Diploma in Engineering Holder, and 135 Posts for NTC/ NAC Holder] in the scale of pay Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs.4200/-

Qualification: Candidates must have passed SSLC, and have completed Diploma in relevant field of Engineering/ Technology ; OR Candidates must have passed SSLC, and NTC in the relevant trade of ITI Course with a minimum three years of industrial experience/ NAC in the relevant trade with a minimum two years of industrial experience.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 35 years for unreserved candidates, 37 years for BC/ BC(M)/ MBC & DNC category candidates, and 40 years for SCA/ SC/ ST category candidates as on 01-January-2016.
Examination Fee and Application Processing fee:
Examination fee of Rs. 100/- and Application processing fee of Rs. 50/- (Total 150/-)
Candidates are suggested to pay the fees in the form of demand draft of any Nationalised Bank in favour of Assistant Accounts Officer, Directorate of Employment and Training, Payable at Chennai.
SC/ ST/ SCA candidates and PH/ Destitute Widow Candidate of all communities are exempted from payment of Examination Fees. However, they should pay application processing fee of Rs. 50/- as Demand Draft.

After the on line registration, candidates are suggested to submit printout of online application form along with the Bank Demand Draft and self-attested Photocopies of the documents/ certificates as per suggested in official advertisement to any one of the Nodal Government Industrial Training Institutes located in each District and get the acknowledgement Slip. Candidates are suggested to have the copy of the application and acknowledgement slip for further reference.
