Chhattisgarh School Education Department Recruitment 2014 for 121 Assistant Gr.-III and 06 DEO Positions
One of the newly formed in India, Chhattisgarh was recognized as a state on 1 November 2000. The education scenario in Chhattisgarh is not very remarkable as it lacks proper educational infrastructure. However, the state government has launched several programs for enhancing the academic scenario of the state. The overall growth in the literacy rate has been possible due to the persistent efforts of the state government. According to the 2001 census report, Chhattisgarh had a literacy rate of 65.18% which included male and female literacy rate of 77.86% and 52.40% respectively. Special importance is given to the education of women and students belonging to the underprivileged section of the society. Its capital city Raipur is the main center of higher education in Chhattisgarh. The School Education Department is the authority assigned for enhancement of educational infrastructure and implementation of Educational Policies in the state.
With the recent announcement from the Chhattisgarh School Education Department, there is requirement of Assistant Grade-III and Data-Entry-Operators, who will be working with various infrastructures under the School Education Department.
The details of the vacancies and the requisite criteria for selection are detailed as below:
Important Dates:

Who can apply: Only Natives of Chhattisgarh are eligible to apply
Posts to be Filled Up:
- Assistant (Grade-III): 121 Posts (Women-36, PWD-06, Ex-SM-12 & Open-66 out of which & SC-19, ST-05, OBC-17, UR-80)
- Data Entry Operator (DEO): 06 Posts (Women-01, PWD-00, Ex-SM-00 & Open-05 out of which & SC-01, ST-00, OBC-01, UR-04)
Pay Scale & Remunerations:
- The candidates selected for these positions will be eligible for a remuneration in the scale of PB-I in the order of Rs.5200 – Rs.20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs.1900
Age Criteria:
- The candidates applying for these positions should be in between 18 to 35 years as on 01-Jan-2014
- However, the upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex-SM and Women candidates as per rules.
Academic Requirements (as on closing date of receipt of Application):
- Assistant (Grade-III):
- The applicants should have completed 10+2 from a recognized Board/ University
- Must have completed 1 years course of Data Entry Operator/ Computer Programming (Certificate/ Diploma)
- Must have Hindi typing Speed of at least 5000 Key Dipressions per minute.
- Data Entry Operator (DEO):
- The applicants should have completed 10+2 from a recognized Board/ University Or, Must have passed 10th standard along with 3 years Diploma in any subject
- Must have completed 1 years course of Data Entry Operator/ Computer Programming (Certificate/ Diploma)
- Must have Hindi typing Speed of at least 8000 Key Dipressions per minute.
Nativity:
- The candidates should be a native of Chhattisgarh in order to be eligible to apply.
Selection Procedure :
- The selection process will be conducted on merit basis and a Merit List will be prepared on the basis of career marks for Practical Examination
- The Practical Skill Test will comprise of Typing Skill Test (minimum cut-off mark is 60%)
- A final merit list will be prepared as per the Skill of the candidates, which will be referred for final selection.
