Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) is implementing the prestigious Assam Gas Cracker project, the first ever Petrochemical project in entire North East India. It was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs as a Joint Venture Company BCPL and was incorporated during January, 2007 as Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Govt. of India. GAIL (India) Limited is the main promoter having 70% of equity participation and the rest 30% is equally shared by Oil India Ltd (OIL), Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) and Government of Assam.

In line with its recruitment project for the year 2012-13, BCPL invites competent applications for the Senior Managerial Positions from various cores. The details of the vacancies and the criteria for recruitment is as under mentioned:

  • Date to reckon for Age and Academic as well as experience: 20th of November 2012

  • Sr. Officer/ Sr. Engineer (Fire & Safety (2), Mechanical (4), Instrumentation (2), Information Technology (2), Environment(1))11 Posts – Grade -E2

Pay Scale Provisions:

  • Grade E5 – Rs.32900-Rs.58000
  • Grade E4 – Rs. 29100-Rs.54500
  • Grade E3 – Rs.24900-Rs.50500
  • Grade E2 – Rs.20600-Rs.46500
  • Other perks and facilities will be admissible as per rules

Academics/ Experience/ Age Requirements:

  1. Sr. Manager (Human Resource) – 45 years max –  Bachelor Degree with minimum 55 % marks and Two years MBA/ MSW with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations/ Human Resources Management Or equivalent. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  2. Sr. Manager (Contract & Procurement) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 55 % marks. Preference will be given to candidates having 02 years MBA with specialization in Material Management. 12 years of post qualification experience
  3. Sr. Manager (Fire & Safety) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Fire / Fire & Safety with minimum 55 % marks. Preference will be given to candidates having one year Diploma in Industrial Safety. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  4. Sr. Manager (Mechanical) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Mechanical/ Production/ Production & Industrial/ Manufacturing/ Mechanical & Automobile with minimum 55 % marks. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  5. Sr. Manager (Chemical) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Chemical/ Petrochemical/ Chemical Technology/ Petrochemical Technology with minimum 55 % marks. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  6. Sr. Manager (Chemical) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Chemical/ Petrochemical/ Chemical Technology/ Petrochemical Technology with minimum 55 % marks. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  7. Sr. Manager (Electrical) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics with minimum 55 % marks. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  8. Sr. Manager (Laboratory) – 45 years max – Master Degree (M.Sc) in Chemistry with minimum 60% marks. 16 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  9. Sr. Manager (Information Technology) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Computer Science/ Information Technology with minimum 55 % marks Or, Bachelors Degree (55% min) with MCA (55% min). 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.
  10. Sr. Manager (Marketing) – 45 years max – Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 55% marks and Two years MBA with specialization in Marketing with minimum 55% marks. 12 years of Post Qualification executive experience.

Reservation Rules:

For the above mentioned posts reservation for privileged category will be applicable as per rules.

Application Fees:

  • The candidates need to deposit a non-refundable Application fee of Rs.200 only in favour of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited payable at Dibrugarh, Assam. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from payment of any fees.
  • The fees can be paid in shape of Demand Draft or Pay Order from any nationalized bank.

i)     Applications should be submitted strictly as per the prescribed format available on the BCPL Website at www.bcplonline.co.in .

ii)    All instructions as given on the BCPL website at http://www.bcplonline.co.in/bcplopenings/22_5-1349332206-Detail%20Advt.pdf must be adhered to, failing which, the applicant will be disqualified for the post.

iii)   Name of the post applied for, should be superscribed on the envelope containing the application.

iv)   The application should contain one recent passport size photograph pasted on the form, self-attested copy of proof of age, caste certificate in the prescribed format as applicable, degree certificate and experience certificate.

v)    Applications must be forwarded to BCPL at the address mentioned above through Post/Courier Service only. Applications forwarded through any other means including by Fax or e-mail will not be entertained.
