Selection to B.Tech and BE are based upon the scores achieved in 12th boards. Along with merit of entrance exam conducted for the admission to national or state level colleges. For getting admission in master degree one has to qualify Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering entrance exam. There are various institutes that carry out their own entrance for selection into engineering courses. B.Tech programmes in textile engineering is carried out for 4 years whereas M.Tech is of 2 years duration. Aspirants with good communication, problem solving, analytical and logical skills will be provided more preference.

Salary of candidates in textile industry may vary based upon there position and type of work assigned. They are generally employed in areas of designing, selling, marketing and manufacturing.
