1572/WBBPE/2022 West Bengal Board of Primary Education WBBPE, WB TET 2022 Eligibility Criteria, Exam Date Notification
With the recent notification from the West Bengal Board of Primary Education, a Teacher Eligibility Test has been notified for 12th/ D.El.Ed/ B.Ed who will be acting as teachers from Class 1 to Class 5 standard. The WB Primary TET online application process will be begun from the 2nd week of October. The West Bengal Primary TET 2022 Exam is to be conducted on 11 December 2022. The details of the eligibility criteria and the recruitment norms are as under:

- Teacher Eligibility Test 2022 for Class-I to Class-V standard
Important Dates:
- Date of publication of Public Notice for TET: 29 September 2022
- Date of Availability of Application Form: 14th October 2022
- Last Date for Submission of Completed Application Forms: 3rd November 2022
- Date of Examination: 11-December-2022
Minimum Educational Qualification: Classes 1 to 5
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) from a recognized education board with at least 50% marks and a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) with at least 50% marks and 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEIEd)
- Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent 10+2) from a recognized education board with at least 50% marks and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
- Aspirants should possess a Graduation Degree and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEIEd)
Persons who have appeared for final examination of Two Year D.El.Ed. Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published AND
Persons who have appeared for final examination of Two Year D.Ed. (Special Education) Course from RCI recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published. AND
Persons who have appeared for the final examination of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Course from NCTE recognized institutions on the date of this Notification and the result is not yet published shall also be eligible to sit for the TET-2022. AND
Persons who are undergoing D.El.Ed./ D.Ed. (Special Education)/ B.Ed. Training (session 2020-2022) and who have qualified in D.El.Ed./ D.Ed. (Special Education)/ B.Ed. Part-1 examination (session 2020-2022) will be given opportunity to apply for TET-2022.
First Language: Applicants will have to choose any one of the following languages as first language: Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Santhali, Oriya and Telugu. The choice will be on the basis of the medium of instruction in the school.
Second Language: English (for All)
Qualifying Marks A candidate who will score 60% and above out of the full marks (150) in the TET will be considered as TET-2022 passed candidate.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years as of 01-01-2023. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Mode of Selection: The selection will be done through a Written Test, where questions will be Objective Type in nature. A person who scores competently more marks in the TET examination shall be considered ‘TET qualified’ or ‘TET passed’. This selection will be done strictly on a Merit Listing.
Application Fees: Online Mode
- Rs. 150/- for General / Unreserved categories candidates
- Rs. 100/- for OBC A and OBC B candidates
- Rs. 50/- for SC / ST / Reserved Categories candidates
