Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, a premier research and development unit of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of various positions in VECC (Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre), Kolkata. Candidates will be selected on the basis of preliminary test, advanced test and skill test.

DR/04 Work Assistant ‘A’: 05 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
DR/05 Canteen Attendant: 02 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution.
DR/01 Female Nurse ‘A’: 01 Vacancy
Candidates must have passed Intermediate or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. Three years Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery. Candidates should have Valid Registration as ‘A’ Grade Nurse from Central/State Nursing Council in India. OR Possess B.SC (Nursing).
DR/02 Sub-Officer ‘B’: 01 Vacancy
HSC (10+2) (Science with Chemistry) or equivalent with 50% marks. Passed Sub-Officer’s Course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur. Candidates should have 15 years relevant experience as Fireman/Driver- cum-Operator, or 12 years (5 years as Leading Fireman) experience.
DR/03 Driver (Ordinary Grade): 03 Vacancies
Candidates must have passed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board or Institution. Possession of a valid driving licence to drive light and heavy vehicles. Knowledge of motor mechanism. Should have minimum three years experience in driving a light or heavy vehicle.

Stipendiary Trainee Category-II Details of the vacancies Discipline-wise and Academic norms
- Discipline – Physics, Computer – SSC (10th) with a minimum 60% marks. Possess two years duration Trade
Certificate in the relevant trade. OR SSC (10th) in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. - Discipline – Fitter, Electronics, Electrical, Refrigeration/ Air Conditioning, Machinist – SSC (with Science and Maths) with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate plus trade certificate of minimum 1 year duration in relevant trade. The candidates should meet any of the following requirements as regards Trade Certificates as 1) NTC (ITI pass out) of two years duration. OR 2) NAC of Two years duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme. OR 3) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus one year relevant work experience after the completion of course. OR 4) NTC (ITI pass out) of one year duration plus NAC of minimum one year duration under Apprenticeship Training Scheme.
Age requirement: As on 20-May-2021
For Sub-Officer ‘B’: The candidate must be minimum of 18 years and should not exceed 40 years
For Female Nurse ‘A’: The candidate must be minimum of 18 years and should not exceed 30 years
For Work Assistant ‘A’, Driver (OG): The candidate must be minimum of 18 years and should not exceed 27 years
For category-I candidates: The candidate must be minimum of 18 years and should not exceed 24 years
For category-II candidates: The candidate must be minimum of 18 years and should not exceed 22 years
However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST/ OBC category of candidates.
Total Duration of Training Period :
Category-I: Two Years, Category-II: Two Years
Upon successful completion of training, trainees will be considered for absorption in the below mentioned grade at the time of appointment depending on their performance during the period of training and interview to be held at the end of the training.
Stipendiary Trainee Category-I: Scientific Assistant/C Pay Matrix Level 7
Stipendiary Trainee Category-II: Technician/B Pay Matrix Level 3 & Technician/C Pay Matrix Level 4
Application Fee: Rs.150/- for DR/02 , TR/01 to TR/04 Positions; Rs.100/- for DR/03 to DR/05, TR/05 to TR/12 Positions. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, PWD and Women category are exempted from payment of application fee.
