Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Exam 2022 – Assistant Commandants in CAPF Jobs – केन्द्रीय सशस्त्र पुलिस बल (सहायक कमांडेंट) परीक्षा 2022

Union Public Service Commission is presently in the process of selection of candidates for the positions of Assistant Commandants in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Through UPSC Examination Notification Number 09/2022-CPF, UPSC invites Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) from eligible candidates to join in the Central Government under various divisions of CAPF as Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).

Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Exam 2022 Written Exam Result Announced: UPSC has announced the RESULT of CAPF (ACs) Exam 2022 held by UPSC on 07th August, 2022.

1474 Candidates got Qualified for next round of selection process.

UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2022 Written Exam Result

The candidates who have been declared qualified in the written examination are required to get themselves registered on the relevant page of the website before filling up the Detailed Application Form (DAF) ONLINE
along with uploading of the scanned copies of relevant certificates/ documents in support of their eligibility, claim of reservation etc. through the Commission’s Website www.upsc.gov.in

Starting Date for Submission of Detailed Application Form (DAF): 26-09-2022
Last Date for Submission of Detailed Application Form (DAF): 09-10-2022

Candidates who have finally submitted his Detailed Application Form (DAF) will be issued E-Admit Card by the Nodal Authority i.e. ITBP to appear for the PST/PET and MST.

The candidates can access their marks-sheet after keying in their Roll Number and date of birth. The printed/hard copies of the marks-sheet would, however, be issued by UPSC to candidates based on specific request accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India or a citizen approved as per central government norms.

Education: The applicant must have completed his/ her Graduation (Bachelors Degree) in any discipline to be eligible to apply. Candidates applying for the final year of examination are also eligible to apply only if they are able to submit the completion certificate by the date of submission of DAF (Detailed Application Form) after qualifying the preliminary examination.

Candidates must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants), Examination, 2021.

Age: The applicant must have attained a minimum age of 20 years and should not have exceeded the age of 25 years as on August 01, 2022. However the upper age limit is relaxable as per norms.

Physical Standard: The applicants must have minimum prescribed physical standard to qualify for application. Without complying to minimum physical standards, the applications will not be entertained.

Application Fee:
All applicants (except Female/ SC/ ST Candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of SBI by Cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or any of its associate banks by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit Card.
For SC, ST, Women candidates: fees exempted. For OBC Male candidates the fees will be full and there is no relaxation in fees for OBC male candidates.

Plan of Examination: The Selection Examination will consist of a Written Test and followed by a round of Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test and a personal Interview. There will be Negative Marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Paper. The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

Paper I: Written Examination

The Written Examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will be held on 08th August, 2021 and will comprise two papers. Paper I will be held from 10 a.m. to 12.00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.

Paper I: General Ability and Intelligence – 250 Marks
The questions in this paper will be of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type in which the questions will be set in English as well as Hindi.

1. General Mental Ability: The questions will be designed to test the logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude including numerical ability, and data interpretation.
2. General Science: The questions will be set to test general awareness, scientific temper, comprehension and appreciation of scientific phenomena of everyday observation including new areas of importance like Information Technology, Biotechnology, Environmental Science.
3. Current Events of National and International Importance: The questions will test the candidates’ awareness of current events of national and international importance in the broad areas of culture, music, arts, literature, sports, governance, societal and developmental issues, industry, business, globalisation, and interplay among nations.
4. Indian Polity and Economy: The questions shall aim to test candidates’ knowledge of the Country’s political system and the Constitution of India, social systems and public administration, economic development in India, regional and international security issues and human rights including its indicators.
5. History of India: The questions will broadly cover the subject in its social, economic and political aspects. This shall also include the areas of growth of nationalism and freedom movement.
6. Indian and World Geography: The questions shall cover the physical, social and economic aspects of geography pertaining to India and the World.

Paper II: General Studies, Essay and Comprehension – 200 Marks
In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but
the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/ language skills will be English only.

Part-A – Essay questions which are to be answered in long narrative form either in Hindi or English totaling 80 Marks. The indicative topics are modern Indian history especially of the freedom struggle, geography, polity and economy, knowledge of security and human rights issues, and analytical ability.
Part-B – Comprehension, précis writing, other communications/language skills – to be attempted in English only (Marks 120) – The topics are Comprehension passages, précis writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar and other aspects of language testing.

Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests:
Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests.

Interview/Personality Test: Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 Marks.
