Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for DIRECT Recruitment 1083 Vacancies included in the Combined Engineering Subordinate Services Examination.
Overseer/ Junior Draughting Officer in Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department: 794 Vacancies
Candidates must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Candidates possess Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission will be preferred.
Junior Draughting Officer in Highways Department: 236 Vacancies
Candidates must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship Training under the Government of India Scheme or the State Government Apprenticeship Scheme for one year, will be preferred.
Junior Draughting Officer in Public Works Department: 18 Vacancies
Candidates must possess Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship Training under the Government of India Scheme or the State Government Apprenticeship Scheme for one year, will be preferred. OR Possess Diploma in Architectural Assistantship awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Tamil Nadu or its equivalent qualification.
Draughtsman, Grade III in Town and Country Planning Department: 10 Vacancies
Candidates must possess Post Diploma in Town and Country Planning awarded by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
OR Possess Diploma in Civil Engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training or Diploma in Architectural Assistant-ship awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training. Candidates should have 3 years experience in the field of Civil Engineering.
Foreman, Grade II in Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation Limited: 25 Vacancies
Candidates must possess Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / B.E., Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Note– Applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil on the date of this Notification.

Age Limit: Candidates should not have completed 32 Years (37 Years for Overseer / Junior Draughting Officer) as on 01.07.2023. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale:
Rs.35400-130400/- Level 11 for Overseer, Junior Draughting Officer and Draughtsman Posts
Rs.19500-71900/- Level 8 for Foreman Posts
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam and counselling.
Paper I (Objective Type)- (200 questions) (Diploma Standard) – 300 Marks
Paper II Part-A : Tamil Eligibility Test (SSLC Std.) (100 questions/150 marks)
Paper II Part-B : (General Studies- 75 Questions Diploma Standard AND 25 Questions Aptitude and mental ability test) (100 questions) (150 marks)
Registration Fee: Rs. 150/-
It is mandatory for the applicants to register their basic particulars through one – time online registration system on payment of Rs. 150/- towards registration fee and then they should apply online for this recruitment.
Examination Fee: Rs. 100/- The Examination fee should be paid at the time of submitting the online application for this recruitment through Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes, Differently Abled Persons, and Destitute Widow of all communities are exempted from payment of examination fee.
