Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2021

The Staff Selection Commission to hold Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination for Recruitment to the post of Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff, General Central Service Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices in States and Union Territories.

Havaldar in CBIC and CBN: 3603 Vacancies, Pay Matrix Level- 1

The Staff Selection Commission notified that the aspirants of Multi Tasking (Non Technical) Staff Examination, 2021.

Starting Date for Submission of Online Application: 22 March 2022
Last Date for Submission of Online Application: 30 April 2022

Last Date for Payment of Fee through Online mode: 02 May 2022
Last Date for Generation of Offline Challan: 03 May 2022
Last Date of Payment of Fee through Challan at Bank: 04 May 2022

Qualification: Candidates must have passed Matriculation examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years as on 01-January-2022. Candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS and Havaldar in CBN (Department of Revenue).

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 27 years as on 01-January-2022. Candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for Havaldar in CBIC (Department of Revenue) and few posts of MTS.

However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government norms.

Central Region- Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

Eastern Region- West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar

Northern Region- Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand

Western Region- Maharashtra, Gujrat, Goa

Southern Region- Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Pudduchery

Karnataka Kerala Region- Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshdweep

MP Region- Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh

North Eastern Region- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura

North Western Region- Punjab, Jammu, Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh

Application Fee:  Rs. 100/-
All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying application fee.

Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Online fee can be paid by the candidates up to 02.05.2022 (23.00 hours). However, candidates who wish to make cash payment through Challan of SBI, may make the payment in cash at the Branches of SBI within the working hours of bank up to 04.05.2022 provided the Challan has been generated by them before 03.05.2022 (23.00 hours).

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of Computer Based Examination (Paper-I), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar) and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II).

There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Paper-I: Numerical Aptitude: This paper will include questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, use of Tables and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.

English Language: Candidates’ understanding of the Basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and writing ability would be tested.

General Intelligence and Reasoning: It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include questions on similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate’s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Paper-II: The Paper will be set in Hindi, English and in other languages, to test basic language skills commensurate with the educational qualification prescribed for the post. Candidates will be required to write one short essay/ letter.
