Eligibility Criteria: Qualification– Candidates must passed Intermediate/ 12th/ 10+2/ Senior Secondary Exam from a recognized Board and have Typing Speed of 30 words per minute in English OR 25 words per minute in Hindi.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years for UR [Candidates born not before 02-01-

Typing Test on Computer (25 Marks – Conducted by Delhi Police): Candidates who qualify in the Physical Endurance & Measurement Tests (PE&MT) as well as Persons with Disabilities (PwD) who qualify in the Computer Based Examination will be called for Typing Test on Computer. The test shall be of 10 minutes duration. The marks will be taken into account while preparing the final result. The candidates will be allotted marks according to speed achieved in the typing test.
Formatting Test [Qualifying – Conducted by Delhi Police]: The candidates who qualify for the Typing Test on Computer shall be called for the Computer (Formatting) Test and will be tested on MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint, and MS-Excel which will be of qualifying nature. The candidates will be given 10 minutes’ time for each test separately.

- 20 features of formatting, as listed above may be tested in each test with 1/2 mark each for every feature of formatting. Out of the 10 marks for the formatting features for each test, a candidate should secure at least 6 marks in each test to qualify.
The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT), Typing Test on Computer and Computer (Formatting) Test, Police verification of character & antecedents and Medical Examination of finally selected candidates.
All the candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the Computer Based Examination and who qualify all the events of PE&MT (i.e. race, long/ high jump and physical measurement) are required to appear for Document Verification along with the photocopies and original documents.
The candidates selected for the post will have to undergo Residential Basic Training course at training centre in Delhi for four months duration.
