Online applications are invited from interested candidates for engagement of Act Apprentices for imparting training under the Apprentice Act 1961 in the designated trades at Divisions/ Units in the jurisdiction of South Western Railway for the year 2018-19.

Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubballi- 176 Positions in Fitter, Turner, Machinist, Welder, Electrician, Painter, Carpenter
Bengaluru Division- 280 Positions in Fitter (Diesel Loco Shed), Electrician (Diesel Loco Shed), Electrician General, Fitter(Carriage & Wagon), Programming and System Administration Assistant (PASAA), Welder, Fitter trades
Mysuru Division- 177 Positions in Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Programming and System Administration Assistant (PASAA), Stenographer trades
Central Workshop, Mysuru- 43 Positions in Fitter, Turner, Machanist, Welder, Electrician, Painter, Programming and System Administration Assistant(PASAA) trades
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must have passed Matriculation/10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.e National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training)
Age Limit: The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 16-January-2019. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Selection for Apprenticeship training will be on the basis of merit list prepared of all the candidates who apply against the notification for a particular Division/Unit.
The merit list will be prepared taking the average of the %age marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
Application Fee: Rs. 100/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee through online through payment gateway as part of online application process. SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
Selection Process: Selection for Apprenticeship training will be on the basis of merit list prepared in respect of all the candidates who apply against the notification. The merit list will be prepared taking the average of the %age marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculation with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
