State Level Police Recruitment Board, Assam Police, Government of Assam, invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 483 posts of Safai Karmachari in Assam Police, 57 posts of Safai Karmachari under Directorate of Civil Defence & Home Guards, Assam, 13 posts of Safai Karmachari under Fire & Emergency Services, Assam, 6 posts of Safai Karmachari under Prison Department, Assam and 28 posts of Sweeper under Forest Department, Assam.

Pay Scale: Rs. 12000-52000 (Pay Band- I) and Grade pay Rs. 3900/- plus other allowances
Qualification: Minimum Class VI passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from recognized Board or Council.
Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 marks. OR Minimum one year work experience certificate from registered NGO/ Municipality Board / Govt. Departments will carry 5 marks. Registered NGOs registration Number must be reflected in the certificate.
Age Limit:- Candidate should not be more than 40 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January 2023. Candidate must be born on or before 01.01.2005 and on or after 01.01.1983. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Physical Standards:
- Height (Minimum)
General/ OBC/ MOBC/ SC- 160 cm (Male), 150 cm (Female), ST (H)/ ST (P)- 158 cm (Male), 147.5 cm (Female) - Chest (Only for Males)
General/ OBC/ MOBC/ SC/ ST(P)- 80 cm (Normal), 85 cm (Expanded), ST(H)- 77 cm (Normal), 82 cm (Expanded) - Weight- Proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.
- Must be Physically fit and have a positive aptitude for the job.
Medical Standards:
- General: Candidates must not have squint eyes, and should possess high color vision. Varicose veins shall be considered a temporary disqualification. He/ She must be in good mental and physical health. He / She must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.
- Eye Sight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
Selection Procedure:
Preliminary Document Verification, After the documents are found correct, the candidates will have to appear in the PST (Physical Standard Test). Once a candidate clears the PST, he/she will have to appear in the next Trade Efficiency Test in their respective trade.
Results of the PST and Trade Proficiency Test in their respective trade will be locally displayed at the end of each day of Test. After completion of the PST and Trade Proficiency Test in their respective trade for all the candidates, a merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks scored in Trade Proficiency Test.
