Punjab Police SI Recruitment Advertisement 1 of 2021 Sub Inspector Vacancy
Punjab Police invite application from eligible candidates for direct recruitment of post of Sub Inspectors in the District Police Cadre/ Armed Police cadre/ Intelligence Cadre/ Investigation Cadre of Punjab Police. The selected candidates will be placed on probation for a period as specified in the Punjab Police Act 2007, Punjab Police Rules 1934 and the State Government Instructions issued from time to time in this regard.
Sub Inspector (District Police cadre): 87 Vacancies
Sub Inspector (Armed Police cadre): 97 Vacancies
Sub Inspector (Intelligence Cadre): 87 Vacancies
Sub Inspector (Investigation Cadre): 289 Vacancies
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Common Application Form (CAF) and Computer Based Test (CBT) process followed by Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST).

Minimum Qualification Required:
For District Police Cadre/ Armed Police cadre/ Investigation Cadre– The candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university.
For Intelligence Cadre: The candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised university and having ‘O’ Level Certificate of Information Technology from NIELIT OR
Possess Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Applications or Information Technology as one of the elective subjects during the entire duration of graduation OR
Possess B.Sc./B.Tech./B.E. in Information Technology; or Computer Science; or Computer Engineering; or Computer Science & Engineering; or Information Systems; or Computer Networking; or Data Science; or Software Engineering; or BCA; or Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized University or Institution.
Candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
Candidates also fulfill minimum required physical standards.
Age Limit As on January 01, 2021: Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 28 years. However, relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale: Rs. 35400-112400/- Pay Matrix Level- 6
Application Fee:
Rs.1500/- for general category candidates
Rs.900/- for SC/ ST/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category candidates
Rs. 700/- for Ex-Servicemen(ESM) of Punjab State only/Lineal Descendants of ESM
Ex-Servicemen are exempted from payment of application fee
