High Court of Punjab and Haryana at Chandigarh, invites applications from eligible experienced candidates for recruitment of Additional District & Sessions Judge in the State of Punjab, by way of direct recruitment from the Bar. Candidates must have passed matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language specified by the government. Candidates must have been duly enrolled as an Advocate, and must have been in practice for not less than seven years as on 30-April-2015.
Number of Vacancies: 11
Age Limit: Minimum 35 years and Maximum 45 years as on 30-April-2015
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected n the basis of written examination of 750 marks, and viva-voce of 250 marks.
Examination Fee:
For General category candidates: Rs. 1000/-
For SC/ ST/ BC/ PH candidates: Rs. 500/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee in form of demand draft in favour of the Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh; payable at Chandigarh.
How to Apply:
Candidates enrolled with the District/ Sub-Divisional Bar Associations of Punjab, Haryana, and U.T. Chandigarh; are suggested to submit the duly completed application form along with three recent and identical passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate and attested by the gazetted officer, prescribed examination fee; to the office of District and Sessions Judge concerned.
All Other candidates are suggested to send duly completed application in prescribed format along with three recent and identical passport size photographs duly signed by the candidate and attested by the gazetted officer, prescribed examination fee; to the Registrar (Recruitment), High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh.
Applicants are suggested to superscribed as “Application for the Post of Additional District & Sessions Judge in the State of Punjab” .
