Public Service Commission, West Bengal invites applications from interested and eligible candidates for recruitment of Veterinary Officer in West Bengal Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, under the Animal Resources Development Department, Government of West Bengal. Candidates will be selected on the basis of Screening Test/Written Test.
Veterinary Officer: 158 Vacancies, in the scale of pay Rs. 15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- plus Grade Pay Rs.5, 400/-

Qualification: Candidates must possess Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B. V. Sc. & A.H.) or Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc.) from a recognized University/Institute or any other qualification as mentioned in the First and Second Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act. 1984 (52 of 1984).
Candidates must have valid registration with a Veterinary Council established under any statute of the State government or the Government of India.
Upper Age Limit: 36 years as on 01.01.2022. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.
Application Fee:
Rs. 210/- + Service Charge 1% of Examination Fee subject to a minimum of Rs.5/- plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee for online payment through debit/credit cards;
Convenience fee of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only plus 18% G.S.T. on convenience fee for online payment through net banking;
Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only for offline payment through bank counter.
SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal, and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
