The Patiala Locomotive Works PLW Patiala, fully owned Production Unit of Indian Railways, Government of India, invites online applications from eligible candidates for Engagement of Act Apprentices in various trades for the year 2022-23. Candidates will be selected on the merit basis (marks obtained in Matriculation/ 10th class and ITI).
Act Apprentice- 295 Positions in PLW
Electrician- 140 Posts
Fitter- 75 Posts
Mechanic (Diesel)- 40 Posts
Machinist- 15 Posts
Welder (G&E)- 25 Posts
Important Dates:
Last Date of Filling the Form: 16-11-2022 (17:00 Hrs)
Last Date of Depositing the Fee: 23-11-2022
Educational Qualification: Candidates must pass Matriculation/ 10th class or equivalent exam with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with science and mathematics subjects under the 10+2 education system.
Candidates must possess ITI certificate in Electrician/ Mechanic (Diesel)/ Machinist/ Fitter/ Welder Trades.
For Welder (G&E), Candidates must pass 8th standard.
Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and Maximum 24 years (22 years for Welders (Gas & Electric Trade)) for Electricians, Mechanics, Machinery & Fitter trade as of 31st October 2022.
Stipend: Rs. 7000/- Per Month during first year of training. Rs. 7700/- Per Month during second year of training. Rs. 8050/- Per Month during third year of training.
Application Fee: Rs. 100/- SC/ ST/ Physically Handicapped/ women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee. Applicants can pay the application fee till 23-11-2022 during bank working hours.
