OPSC Recruitment Advertisement 04 OF 2021-22: Odisha Public Service Commission invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in “Group-B” of State Odisha Veterinary Service under Fisheries and Animal Resources Development Department.
Candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Test (Veterinary Science of 400 Marks and Animal Science of 400 Marks) and Viva Voce Test.
Veterinary Assistant Surgeon- 351 Posts Out of which 56 posts are reserved for ST category candidates, 14 posts are reserved for SC category candidates. Out of which 51 posts are reserved for women candidates.

Essential Eligibility Factors:
Minimum Educational Qualification Veterinary Assistant Surgeon– Candidates must have possessed a Bachelor in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from a recognized University or Institution; and must have registered himself/ herself under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970.
Native Language Proficiency: The candidate should be able to speak, read and write Odia and should have had Odia as a subject in the Upper Primary (M.E) or any equivalent examination failing which he/she shall be required to pass an examination in Odia of Upper Primary ( Middle School) standard during his/ her period of probation.
Age Limit: The candidates must have achieved the minimum age of 21 years and should not have reached max 32 years as on 01-January-2021. Relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules. Proof of age is to be submitted in terms of matriculation certificate or school leaving certificate.
Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level- 10
Examination Fee: Rs. 500/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the application fee through a Fee Payment Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking facilities and other financial instruments listed in the payment gateway/ gateway of the Odisha Government Treasury Portal within the last date for submission of Application. SC/ ST candidates from the state of Odisha and PWD candidates (with more than 40% disability) are exempted from paying any fees.

Two copies of the online submitted application form need to be printed out, one for the Odisha PSC and other for the candidate. The copy meant for Odisha PSC is to be immediately filled up (put signature under declaration form) and bring the same along with the original treasury challan and attested photocopies of the documents/ certificates in order to appear for written examination. Candidates must write “Submitted by me” and put full signature on each of documents/ certificates.
