NPCIL Recruitment 2013 For 136 Stipendiary Trainee Vacancies

Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) is a Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. The Company was registered as a Public Limited Company with the objective of operating atomic power stations and implementing the atomic power projects for generation of electricity in accordance to the schemes and program of the Government of India

NPCIL is responsible for design, construction, commissioning and operation of nuclear power reactors. NPCIL is presently a company with the highest level of credit rating (AAA rating by CRISIL and CARE). NPCIL is presently operating 20 nuclear power reactors with an installed capacity of 4780 MW.

With the recent initiative to empower the team with competent workforce, NPCIL is inviting applications for various trainee positions for its Kakrapar Gujarat Site. Name of the vacancies advertised for:

1. Stipendiary Trainee – Diploma Holder-Category-I: 21 positions (Mechanical-10, Chemical-5, Electronics-6)
2. Stipendiary Trainee – BSc Holder-Category-I: 21 positions (Physics-14, Chemistry-7)
3. Stipendiary Trainee –Category-II: 94 positions (Plant Operator-45, Fitter-15, Electrician-10, Electronic Mechanic-8, Instrument Mechanic-11, Machinist-5)

Reservation of Posts:

1. Stipendiary Trainee – Diploma Holder-Category-I: 42 positions (UR-21, OBC-12, SC-06, ST-3)
2. Stipendiary Trainee – Category-II: 94 positions (UR-47, OBC-26, SC-08, ST-13)
3. For PWD candidates 4 posts reserved in Category-I and 5 Posts in Category-II positions

Age Criteria as on 01-May-2013:

• Stipendiary Trainee – Diploma Holder-Category-I: Age of the candidates should be in between 18-25 years
• Stipendiary Trainee – Category-II: Age of the candidates should be in between 18-25 years

Stipend Provisions:

• Stipendiary Trainee – Diploma Holder-Category-I: Stipend of Rs.9300 during training per month and when inducted in regular posts as Scientific Assistant (B) would be eligible to get PB2 Rs.9300-Rs.34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.4200
• Stipendiary Trainee – Category-II: Stipend of Rs.6200 per month during 1^st year and Rs.7200 per month during 2^nd year of training and when inducted in regular posts as Technician (B) would be eligible to get PB1 Rs.5200-Rs.20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000

Educational Requirements:

• Stipendiary Trainee – Diploma Holder-Category-I: 3 years Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication with at least 60% marks in each semester and year and Should have English as one of the subjects in their SSC/ HSC level
• Stipendiary Trainee – BSc Holder-Category-I: The candidates must have 3 Years full time BSc in Physics/ Chemistry with not less than 60% marks in aggregate in each semester and year, and should have Physics and Chemistry as principal subjects in the BSc level as per the posts. Candidates should have English as one of the subjects in their SSC level. The candidates having Mathematics as principal subjects (Honors) need not apply for these posts.

• Stipendiary Trainee –Category-II – Plant Operator: The candidates must have passed 10^th / 10+2 Science with at least 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry individually and should have English as a compulsory subject
• Stipendiary Trainee –Category-II – Plant Operator: The candidates must have passed 10^th with at least 50% marks in Mathematics, and Science individually and should have English as a compulsory subject. The candidate should have 2 years ITI Certificate in the concerned trades of Electrician, Electronics, Machinist, Fitter trades. Should have English as a compulsory subject

Mode of Selection:

The selection of candidates will be based upon the Written Test, Trade test and personal Interview as per the nature of posts and criteria for education. The selection will be done on a Merit performance basis only.
