Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation Recruitment Project – 2012

The Maharashtra State Road Transportation Corporation (MSRTC) is one of the premier road transport systems in India. With the recent announcement from the MSRTC, this premier corporation is intending to fill up significantly huge numbers of vacancies through competency test through recruitment norms. Only candidates who are domicile of Maharashtra are eligible to apply for these positions.

The details of the vacancies are as follows:

• Driver (Junior)– 6247 Posts
• Conductor (Junior)– 8948 Posts
• Assistant (Junior) – 2658 Posts
• Clerk Typist (Junior)– 1936 Posts

How to File the Application Form:

The applications are invited through ONLINE MODE only, through the website of the MSRTC at //www.msrtc.gov.in or through //msrtc.mkcl.org.

Important Dates:

• Starting date for submission of online application and payment of fees: 7^th of August 2012
• Last date for online registration (Phase-I): 5^th of September 2012
• Last date for remittance of Application fees: 7^th of September 2012
• Last date for final submission of Application form (Phase-II): 10^th of September 2012 (only for those who have remitted the fees by 7^th of September)

Name of the Positions and details of Eligibility conditions:

Driver (Junior) –

Age:             The applicant must be within 24-35 years as on 7^th of August 2012. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed for applicants as per rules.

Pay Scale:     Rs. 2790-3870 and other allowances – 3% increment applicable for each year

Academics:    10^th/ Matriculation/ SSC pass with decent knowledge of Marathi (Read/Write and Speak)

Experience:    Must have 3 years of zero-accident driving experience

Essential:       Driving License from the RTO with permission of Driving of Transport vehicles and PSV Badge (Billa)

Conductor (Junior) –

Age:             The applicant must be within 18-35 years as on 7^th of August 2012. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed for applicants as per rules.

Pay Scale:     Rs. 2440-3384 and other allowances – 3% increment applicable for each year

Academics:    10^th/ Matriculation/ SSC pass with decent knowledge of Marathi (Read/Write and Speak)

Essential:       Driving License from the RTO with permission of Driving of Transport vehicles and PSV Badge (Billa)

Assistant (Junior) –

Age:             The applicant must be within 18-33 years as on 7^th of August 2012. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed for applicants as per rules.

Pay Scale:     Rs. 2440-3384 and other allowances – 3% increment applicable for each year

Academics:    ITI in Motor Mechanic and associated trades with decent knowledge of Marathi (Read/Write and Speak)

Clerk-Typist (Junior) –

Age:             The applicant must be within 18-33 years as on 7^th of August 2012. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed for applicants as per rules.

Pay Scale:     Rs. 2880-3994 and other allowances – 3% increment applicable for each year

Academics:    Degree from a recognized institution with decent knowledge of Marathi (Read/Write and Speak)

Typing Speed: 30 WPM in Marathi and 40 WPM in English

Essential:       The applicant must have obtained DOEACC “O”, “A”, “B” or “C” level certification or must have passed MSCIT

Application fees:

• For general candidates and OBC: Rs.300
• For SC/ST:    Rs.150
• The Application fees should be submitted through cash deposit challan downloaded from the website of MSRTC at any branch of State Bank of India as per the details mentioned at the website.

How to Apply:

• The interested candidates have to apply ONLINE only through the website of MSRTC at //www.msrtc.gov.in or through //msrtc.mkcl.org
• After filling up basic details like Name, Father’s name etc, the candidates can download the fee deposit challan from the website and fill that as per the instructions.
• The applicants need to deposit the designated fees and have to come back to the same portal with their registration number, user ID and password to complete the second phase of application.

Mode of Selection:

• The selection will be done through a Written Examination followed by Trade Skill Test and Physical Standard Test (as applicable).
• The final results will be prepared as a merit performance basis and only selected candidates will be called for verification of documents before final selection

Important Note:

• The candidates need to keep a copy of their Online Application form and fee receipt challan for future reference
• The decision of MSRTC will be final and binding on the candidates
• Any sort of wrong, misleading and non-confirming information may lead to disqualification from the whole recruitment process
• No form of canvassing is allowed during or after this selection
