MECL Recruitment March 2013 for Various Cadre of Job Positions

Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL)  was established as an autonomous Public Sector Company, under the administrative control of Ministry of Mines, Government of India for systematic exploration of minerals, to bridge the gap between the initial discovery of a prospect and its eventual exploitation. MECL has completed over 1250 projects/reports and established 146980 Million Tonnes of ores/ mineral reserves of minerals like Coal, Lignite, Bauxite, Copper, Gold, Lead-Zinc, Iron Ore, etc.

With its present initiative, MECL is inviting applications for various positions in its Head Office at Nagpur and for all other project offices spread across the nation.

DGM (P&A) – Vacancies 01 (GEN-1) – Max Age- 50 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.36600 – Rs.62000 in E-6 Scale – Education – Bachelors degree with full-time Degree/ Diploma in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations (min 65% marks) OR, Full-time PG-Degree in Management with specialization in HR/IR (min 65% marks), OR, 1st Class MBA-HR(min 65% marks) OR, 1st Class Master of Management Studies (min 65% marks) OR, MSW with min 65% marks – Experience – 17 years of experience in different expertise level of Personnel Management/ IR out of which at least 6 years in Sr. Management level.
  2. DGM (Material) – Vacancies 01 (GEN-1) – Max Age- 50 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.36600 – Rs.62000 in E-6 Scale – Education – BE/ BTech/ BSc (Mechanical Engineering) – Experience – 17 years of experience in different expertise level of Personnel Management/ IR out of which at least 6 years in Sr. Management level. Experience in the area of Equipment Import will be preferred.

Sr. Manager (P&A) – Vacancies 01 (GEN-1) – Max Age- 48 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.32900 – Rs.58000 in E-5 Scale – Education – Bachelors degree with full-time Degree/ Diploma in Personnel Management/ Industrial Relations (min 65% marks) OR, Full-time PG-Degree in Management with specialization in HR/IR (min 65% marks), OR, 1st Class MBA-HR(min 65% marks) OR, 1st Class Master of Management Studies (min 65% marks) OR, MSW with min 65% marks – Experience – 14 years of experience in different expertise level of Personnel Management/ IR out of which at least 6 years in Sr. Management level.
  4. Sr. Manager (Finance) – Vacancies 01 (GEN-1) – Max Age- 48 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.32900 – Rs.58000 in E-5 Scale – Education – CA/ ICWA – Experience – 14 years of experience in different expertise level of Accounting/ Finance/ Auditing/ Costing/ Commercial Financing out of which at least 6 years in Sr. Management level.
  5. Manager (Finance) – Vacancies 02 (GEN-1, OBC-1) – Max Age- 45 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.29100 – Rs.54500 in E-4 Scale – Education – CA/ ICWA – Experience – 10 years of relevant experience out of which at least 3 years in the E-3 Level in the scale of Rs.24900- Rs.50500.

Should be conversant with Court Proceedings

Assistant Manager (Mineralogy) – Vacancies 01 (GEN-1) – Max Age- 40 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.24900 – Rs.50500 in E-3 Scale – Education – Masters Degree in Physics with specialization in X-Ray, Spectroscopy, Solid State Physics Or, Masters Degree in Physical Chemistry (with min 65% marks) – Experience – 6 years of relevant experience out of which at least 3 years in Supervisory capacity.
  9. Assistant Manager (Geo-Tech/ Engg. Geo.) – Vacancies 01 (GEN-1) – Max Age- 40 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.24900 – Rs.50500 in E-3 Scale – Education – Masters Degree in Geology/ Applied Geology OR, MSc MTech/ MTech in Applied Geology (with min 65% marks). Specialization in Geo Engg./ Geo Tech will be preferred – Experience – 6 years of relevant experience in Engineering Geology or in similar sector
  10. Accounts Officer – Vacancies 04 (GEN-2, SC-1, PWD-1) – Max Age- 35 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.16400 – Rs.40500 in E-1 Scale – Education – CA/ ICWA

Legal Officer – Vacancies 02 (GEN-1, OBC-1) – Max Age- 35 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.16400 – Rs.40500 in E-1 Scale – Education – Graduate in any discipline with 1st Class (min 60% marks) with a Degree in Law OR, 1st Division (min 60% marks) in 5 years integrated LLB – Experience – 3 years of relevant experience in drafting/ executing legal documents along with handling cases in various courts

  14. Technician (Drilling) – Vacancies 02 (ST-2) – Max Age- 30 Years – Pay Scale – Rs.8500 – Rs.18600 in W-4 Scale – Education – Matriculation with ITI Mechanic Trade (EMM)/ Diesel Mechanic/ Motor Mechanic/ Fitter Trade – Experience – 3years of relevant experience in Drilling trade.

NOTE:

  • However, relaxation in upper age limit is applicable to SC/ST/ OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates as per government norms.
  • For position of Trainee the duration of training will be for 1 year
  • The Officer Trainee will be required to sign a bond for Rs.2.5 lakhs on a stamp paper of Rs.500 to stay with the company for a minimum period of 4 years including training year.

  • For Candidates belonging to General, OBC and OBC (Minorities): Rs.100
  • SC, ST, PWD candidates are exempted from paying any fee
  • Fee should be paid in shape of Demand Draft in favor of Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd. and must be payable at Nagpur

Selection procedure:

The selection will be based on the short listing of candidates as per their Education, Experience and Performance in the Written test, Skill test and Interview.
