Educational Qualification:
Dy Range Forest Officer (DFRO)- Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry/ Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science/ Fisheries or Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of the following subjects namely; Botany/ Zoology/ Wildlife/ or equivalent from a recognized University. OR
Possess Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one of the subjects namely Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical/ Environment Science/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications of a recognized University.
Forest Range Officer (FRO)- Candidates must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Veterinary Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/ University or Institutions.
Forest Guard- Candidates must have passed II PUC or 12th Standard.
Forest Watcher- Candidates must have passed SSLC or equivalent examination.
Age Limit: Minimum 18 years and Maximum 25 years for Deputy Range Forest Officer/ 27 years for Forest Guard/ 30 years for Forest Watcher. However, further relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per government rules.
Pay Scale:
Rs. 21600-40050/- for Forest Range Officer (FRO) Posts
Rs. 12500-24000/- for Dy Forest Range Officer Posts
Rs.11600-21000/- for Forest Guard Posts
Rs. 10400 – 16400/- for Forest Watchers Posts
Application Fee: Rs 100/- for Candidates belonging to General Merit, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB; and Rs 50/- for Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Category-I. Candidates also have to pay Rs. 15/- as service charge. Candidates are suggested to pay the fee at the Post Office which has E-Payment facility.
