Candidates will be selected on the basis of preliminary test and personality test. There will be an objective type screening test of one paper consisting of 100 questions for two hours duration- “80 questions of multiple choice of BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) level, 10 Questions consisting of General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and 10 Questions consisting of National and International affairs.”

Qualification–
Assistant Engineer (Executive Trainee-Electrical)- Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering discipline from a recognized University / Institute of India with minimum 60% Marks (55%marks in case of SC/ST/ Internal (HPPCL) candidates).
Assistant Engineer (Electrical)- Candidates must possess B.Tech./ B.E. (Environment Engineering/ Environment Science/B.E. with one year PG Diploma in Environment with minimum 60% Marks (55%marks in case of SC/ST/ Internal (HPPCL) candidates).
Assistant Engineer (Civil)- Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute of India with minimum 55% Marks (50%marks in case of SC/ST/ Internal (HPPCL) candidates).
Age Limit- Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years (45 years for Assistant Engineer Posts) as on 01.01.2021. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ PH & other categories in upper age limit is as per HP Govt. Instructions.
Examination Fee:
For General Category candidates of Himachal Pradesh, and other States Candidates of All Category: Rs. 400/-
For SC/ ST/ OBC candidates of Himachal Pradesh: Rs. 100/-
Ex-Servicemen/ Blind/ Visually Impaired candidates of Himachal Pradesh/ Female Candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
