Office of the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, invites applications from eligible experienced candidates for recruitment of General Central Services Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted posts as Junior Printer, Junior Assistant (Weaving), Junior Assistant (Processing), Attendant (Weaving), Attendant (Processing), and Staff Car Driver on Direct Recruitment basis in Weavers’ Service Centre, IIHT Campus, Jawaharnagar, Khanapara, Guwahati.
Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board.

- Junior Printer: 02 Posts
- Junior Assistant (Weaving): 02 Posts
- Junior Assistant (Processing): 01 Post
- Attendant (Weaving): 09 Posts
- Attendant (Processing): 06 Posts

Age Limit: Candidates should not have exceeded maximum age of 30 years for unreserved candidates, 33 years for OBC category candidates, 35 years for ST/ SC category candidates, and 40 years for PH candidates; as on the closing date of receipt of application. Further relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualification Criteria:
- Junior Printer: Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board; or I.T.I. Diploma in Textile Printing or Screen Printing or Fabric Printing or Block Printing Trade.
- Junior Assistant (Weaving): Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board; or I.T.I. Diploma in Textile Weaving Trade from a recognized Institutions.
- Junior Assistant (Processing): Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board; or I.T.I. Diploma in Textile Dyeing or Printing Trade.
- Attendant (Weaving): Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board; or I.T.I. Diploma in Textile Weaving or Winding or Warping Trade.
- Attendant (Processing): Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board; or I.T.I. Diploma in Textile Dyeing or Printing or Fabric Printing or Screen Printing Trade.
- Staff Car Driver: Candidates must have passed Matriculation from a recognized Board. Candidates must Possess valid driving license for motor car, and have Knowledge of motor mechanism.

Pay Scale:
- Junior Printer: Pay Band-1 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-
- Junior Assistant (Weaving/ Processing), Staff Car Driver: Pay Band-1 + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-
- Attendant (Weaving/ Processing): Pay Band-1 + Grade Pay Rs. 1800/-
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on the basis of written and practical test.
