DRDO CEPTAM 10 A&A – Recruitment of 1061 Vacancies for the Various Posts under Admin & Allied (A&A) Cadre of DRDO

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO)- Research & Development of state-of-the-art battlefields systems required by Nation’s Forces (Air Force, Army, Navy) invited online applications for direct recruitment to the various posts under Admin and Allied cadre (A&A).

Eligibility Criteria:

Stenographer Grade 1: Candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree of a recognised University.  Dictation: 10 minutes @ 100 words per minute. Transcription 40 minutes (English), (only on computers).

JTO: Candidates must possess Master’s degree of a recognized university in English/Hindi with Hindi/English as compulsory/elective subject at the degree level. OR Candidates must possess Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and examination with English as a compulsory subject at degree level. OR

Candidates must possess Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subjects or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject plus recognized Diploma or Certificate Course in translation from Hindi and English and vice versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi English and vice versa in Central or State Government offices, including Government of India Undertakings.

Stenographer Grade-II: Candidates must pass 12th Class from a recognised Board or University. Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minutes. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), (only on computers).

Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing)/ Store Assistant ‘A’ (English Typing): Candidates must pass 12th Class from a recognised Board or University. English Typing @ 35 words per minutes (Time allowed -10 minutes.) (35 words per minutes correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Administrative Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing)/ Store Assistant ‘A’ (Hindi Typing): Candidates must pass 12th Class from a recognised Board or University. Hindi Typing @ 30 words per minutes. (30 words per minutes correspond to 9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depressions for each word).

Vehicle Operator ‘A’: Candidates must pass 10th Class from a recognised Board or University. Possession of a valid driving license for two or three wheeler and light and heavy vehicles, and Knowledge of motor mechanism (The candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle). Experience of driving a motor car for at least three
years.

Fire Engine Driver ‘A’: Candidates must pass 10th Class from a recognised Board or University. Possession of a valid driving license for two or three wheeler and light and heavy vehicles, and Knowledge of Traffic regulations. Physical fitness and capability for strenuous duties.

Fireman: Secondary School Certificate (10th Standard pass under 10+2 System) recognised by the Central/State
Government. Physical fitness and capability to perform strenuous duties.

Age Limit:  Candidate must be between 18 and 27 Years (30 years for Stenographer Grade-1 and Junior Translation Officer Posts) of age as on 26-September-2022. However, relaxation in upper age limit applicable as per rules.

Selection Process: The selection process will consist of DRDO entry test in two tiers: Tier-I, Tier-II & preliminary document verification.

• Tier 1- Computer Based Test
• Tier 2- Trade/ Skill/ Physical Fitness and Capability Test for the selection of Stenographer Grade-1, Stenographer Grade-2, Administrative Assistant ‘A’, Store Assistant ‘A’, Security Assistant ‘A’, Vehicle Operator ‘A’, Fire Engine Driver ‘A’, and Fireman Posts.
• Tier 2- Descriptive in Nature for the selection of Junior Translation Officer (JTO) Post.
