Validity of Certificate: To be eligible for appointment as a teacher in class I to VIII candidates must have secured minimum 60% marks (50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC Non Creamy Layer) in CG TET 2022. The validity of the certificate shall be for a maximum period of seven years from the date of issue of the certificate.

Structure Of CTET: There will be two papers of CG TET 2022 and the examination will consist of objective type Multiple Choice Question. There will be NO NEGATIVE marking in this exam.

Paper I (150 Marks) will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V
Child Development and Pedagogy, Language (Hindi), Language (English), Mathematics, and Environmental Education of 30 marks each

Paper II (150 Marks) will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII
Child Development and Pedagogy, Language (Hindi), Language (English), Maths and Science OR Social Science

Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels (classes I to V and classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers (Paper I and Paper II).

Minimum Educational Qualification:

• Level – I – For becoming Primary Stage Teacher (for Classes I-V): Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002, OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), OR, Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
• Level – II – For becoming Elementary Stage Teacher (for Classes VI-VIII): Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), OR,Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), OR, Graduation with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE, OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed., OR, Graduation with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Age Limit: There is no upper age limit specified for CTET applicants.

Mode of Selection: The selection of candidates will be done through a Written Test, where questions will be Objective Type in nature.

Application Fees:
For General Category: Rs. 350/- (in case appearing in only one paper) and Rs.600/- (in case appearing in both papers)
OBC Category: Rs. 250/- (in case appearing in only one paper) and Rs.400/- (in case appearing in both papers)
For SC / ST Category / Differently-Abled: Rs. 200/- (in case appearing in only one paper) and Rs.300/- (in case appearing in both papers)
The fee can be remitted by the candidates through SBI Challan. The fee can also be paid by Debit/ Credit Card, Internet Banking through Online mode.

The applicants are advised read through the instructions and guidelines as detailed at the official website before submission of online Application form. After the completion of first phase of the registration, the candidates need to take-out the system generated fee payment e-challan and deposit requisite fees as stated on the official advertisement. The fees can also be remitted online through Debit/ Credit Card, Internet Banking. After the payment of fees, the next and final step of the registration can be carried out. The candidates are strongly suggested to have two hard copies of the online application, and challan if fee is paid by e-challan, for future reference.
