Great opportunity for candidates who are interested to set career in BLW. With an announcement recently released by Banaras Locomotive Works BLW Varanasi there are 300 ITI vacancies intended to be filled up from candidates having ITI qualification in various disciplines for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentice Act – 1961. This will be the 45th batch of Apprenticeship Training at DLW, Varanasi and will be filled up with a competent selection norm. 74 Non-ITI vacancies to be filled up also.

NOTE: Reservation for other category of candidates will be applicable as per norms.
Stipendiary Provisions: The candidates selected for Apprenticeship Training will be eligible for stipend and allowances as per rules.
Basic eligibility criteria: Nationality: Any candidate interested for this post must be an Indian citizen
Academics:
Act Apprentices Non-ITI: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks.
Act Apprentices ITI: Candidates must have passed Intermediate/ 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. The candidate must also possess ITI in specific trades from NCVT/ SCVT. Candidates appearing and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply.
Age limit: The applicants must have attained minimum age of 15 years and should not have crossed the maximum age limit of 22 years (24 years for Apprentice ITI) as on 25 November 2023, to be eligible to apply. However, there will be relaxation in upper age limit as per the norms.
Application Fee: The candidates (General and OBC-NCL) have to remit an application fee of Rs. 100/- through Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking. The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Minorities/ Women/ PWD/ Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying application fees.
Selection Procedure: The selection of the Apprenticeship Training will be done as per the marks obtained in the Matriculation and in the ITI examination. In required cases, the age factor will also be taken into consideration for selection. The candidates will be selected on the basis of their merit performance only.
