Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal Postal Circle, Department of Posts, invites applications from interested and eligible candidates for direct recruitment of 439 Posts of Postman and Mail Guard in various Postal Divisions/ RMS Divisions in Department of Post, West Bengal Postal Circle. Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.

Educational Qualification Criteria: Candidates should completed Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years as on 27-January-2016 for general category candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per rules.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates for the posts of Mail Guard and Postman will be eligible to receive the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200/- with a grade pay of Rs. 2000/- + other admissible allowances as prescribed from time to time.
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on basis of Aptitude Test.
[Aptitude test will be of matriculation standard of overall 100 marks of 120 minutes duration, in the manner as mentioned below;
Test of Reasoning, Analytic, and General Knowledge: 25 Marks
Test of Mathematics: 25 Marks
Test of English Language: 25 Marks
Test of Regional Language: 25 Marks]
Cost of Application Form Registration: Rs. 100/- (plus Rs. 20/- for e payment commission) for all categories of applicants who have registered.
Examination Fee:
For OC/ OBC male candidates: Rs. 400/-
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Physically Impaired/ Women are exempted from payment of Examination Fee. Applicants are suggested to pay the fee in form of system generated Fee Payment Challan.
After successful registration, a provisional Unique Registration Number (URN) will be generated, and so the registration number along with password shall be sent to the Applicant to the given email ID and SMS to given Mobile Number in the application. Applicant has to use the registration number and password for log in into the website where he/ she can generate, the challan in triplicate, and pay the fee in CASH to nearest e-payment Post Offices. Applicant may check his/ her payment status on the official page after three working days after payment of the fee.
