West Bengal Co-Operative Service Commission Recruitment 2014 For Various Posts Under Cooperative Societies
In West Bengal Cooperation Department plays a pivotal role in the uplift of Cooperative Movement with its two wings, Cooperation Directorate and Directorate of Cooperative Audit by way of following International Cooperative Principles as per West Bengal Cooperative Act & Rules. The Cooperation Department expounds the policies, the Cooperation Directorate through its 3 Zonal & 22 Range Offices in West Bengal and Directorate of Cooperative audit through its 21 Range Offices executes those policies in a veritable manner so that all types of registered cooperative Societies run properly.
The West Bengal Co-Operative Service Commission has been entrusted to recruit competent candidates to be engaged in various Cooperative Societies of the state to manage the functions of the societies. With the recent announcement from the WB Coop Service Commission, there is a notification to engage various profiles.

- Clerk (Grade-III): The applicants must have completed Graduation Degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary level. He/ She must have completed DCA/ DIT/ DOEACC ‘O’ level.

- District Co-operative Education Instructor: The applicants must have completed Graduation with Honors and BCK.
- Lady Co-operative Education Instructor: The applicants must have completed Graduation with Honors and BCK. Only females can apply for these posts.
- Accountant: The applicants must have completed Graduation in Commerce (BCom) with Honors and BCK.

Age of the candidates:
- The applicants should have acquired 18 years of minimum age.
- The applicants should not be more than 35 years as on 01-Jan-14 for Post Codes 021402, 021407, 021408, 021410, 021413, 021414, 021415 & 021417 (Group-C or Clerical posts) and 40 (forty) years for all other Post Codes (Group-A or Group-B posts).
- Appropriate relaxation in upper age limit will be applicable as per norms for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Service agreement Bond:
- The candidates applying against Post Code-021401 will have to sign a service bond for 3 years with a security sum of Rs.100000 only.
- The candidates applying against Post Code-021402 will have to sign a service bond for 3 years with a security sum of Rs.60000 only.

- The application fee can be remitted either by cash to be deposited (along with Service Charge) in favor of WEST BENGAL CO-OPERATIVE SERVICE COMMISSION from any Branch of The West Bengal State Cooperative Bank Ltd. (to the credit of CD A/c No.29312051276 with Kolkata Main Branch) OR through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), preferably in the prescribed Form.
- Fees can also be paid in shape of a cash deposit challan as available with the website www.webcsc.org or www.coopwb.org
- No fee in shape of DD or Cheque will be accepted
Mode of Selection:
- The commission will hold a Preliminary Screening Examination (Written Test) for short-listing the candidates for interview.
- The screening test will have a common paper (Paper-I) for all candidates and will have a Special Paper (Paper-II) on General Banking Awareness for Post Codes 021401, 021404 & 0021405, on Fundamentals of Accountancy for Post Codes 021403, 021406, 021409, 021411 & 021416 and on Law for Post Code 021412
- The shortlisted candidates will have to appear a Personal Interview before final selection.
- The selection will be done strictly on a merit ranking order.
