Public Service Commission, West Bengal invites applications from eligible candidates for West Bengal Judicial Service Examination 2014.

Age Limit as on March 01, 2014:
Minimum 23 years and maximum 35 years i.e. applicants must born not earlier than March 02, 1979 and not later than March 01, 1991
Pay Scale: Rs.27, 700-770-33090-920-40450-1080-44770/-
Educational Qualification:
- Applicants must have Degree in Law from any University or Institution affiliated to any University recognized by the State Government or the Central Government;
- Applicants must Enrolled as an advocate in the roll of Bar Council of any State or Union Territory in India on the Date of Advertisement for Judicial Service Exam with ability to read, write and speak in Bengali (not required in the case of Nepali speaking candidates of the three Hill Sub-divisions of Darjeeling District, viz., Darjeeling Sadar, Kalimpong and Kurseong).
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected on basis of Preliminary Exam, Final Exam, and Personality Test.

Application Fee: Rs.210/-
Candidates are suggested to pay the fee in form of Indian Postal Order and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or in the form of a receipted Challan from a Government Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC-Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16-other fees”.
SC/ ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with Disabilities as specified in official advertisement are exempted from paying the fee.

Eligible candidates may send duly completed application form in prescribed format in all manners along with self attested photocopies of all requested documents/ certificates of age, educational qualification, certificate obtained from the Bar Council in support of his/ her enrollment, IPO/ Treasury challan in original in the envelope by super scribing the advertisement number and name of the examination by registered or speed post or U.C.P. to the Deputy Secretary (Examination), 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026, Public Service Commission, West Bengal or can submitted personally in open condition at the enquiry counter of the Commission’s office at 161-A, S.P. Mukherjee Road, Kolkata – 700 026 between 11-00 a.m. and 03-30 p.m. on all working days.
Note: The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ BC of West Bengal, may appear for this examination for maximum of five times. All other category candidates may appear for this exam for maximum three times.
