Vizag Steel Recruitment 2014 For Experienced Persons for Its Captive Mines

Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) Steel Plant (VSP) is India’s first shore-based integrated Steel Plant under the Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL). This plant is commissioned with state of the art technology and is a prime producer of long steel products in the country having extensive market. With an annual turnover of over Rs.14000 crores, the company is poised to commission its second phase of expansion from 3.0 MTPA to 7.3 MTPA liquid steel capacity by 2014-15. VSP has been conferred with a Navratna status from the Government of India.

With the recent announcement, the Vizag Steel intends to recruit young, enthusiastic, and professionally qualified as well as experienced candidates as Sr. Managers, Dy. Managers, Managers, Jr. Managers, and Asst. Managers for its Captive Mines.

Pay Scale and Remuneration:

  • Senior Manager (Grade-E-5): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.43200 – Rs.66000 in the E-5 grade in IDA pattern. The approximate CTC will be around Rs.18.91 Lakhs per annum.
  • Manager (Grade-E-4): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.36600 – Rs.62000 in the E-4 grade in IDA pattern. The approximate CTC will be around Rs.16.02 Lakhs per annum.
  • Deputy Manager (Grade-E-3): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.32900 – Rs.58000 in the E-3 grade in IDA pattern. The approximate CTC will be around Rs.14.00 Lakhs per annum.
  • Assistant Manager (Grade-E-2): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.24900 – Rs.50500 in the E-2 grade in IDA pattern. The approximate CTC will be around Rs.10.60 Lakhs per annum.
  • Junior Manager (Grade-E-1): The candidates selected for these posts will be eligible to receive remuneration in the scale of Rs.20600 – Rs.46500 in the E-1 grade in IDA pattern. The approximate CTC will be around Rs.08.77 Lakhs per annum.
  • Other allowances and perks will be applicable as per rules of VSP

Academic Requirements:

  • For Posts in Mining Discipline: The candidates should have passed a regular full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering with at least 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST in E-3 cadre). The minimum Post-Qualification experience is 12 years for E-5 cadre and that is 06 years for E-3 cadre. The Experience should be in a highly mechanized open-cast mine using HEMM, HT Power Supply, Ore processing and Mechanized dispatch system. Should have a 1st Class Mining Engineers Certificates of competency registered for Open Cast mines.
  • For Posts in Electrical Discipline: The candidates should have passed a regular full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks. The minimum Post-Qualification experience is 09 years for E-4 cadre and that is 02 years for E-1 cadre. The Experience should be in an open-cast mine using HT Power Supply having processing units and PLC systems. Should have a Electrical Supervisory Certificates of competency registered as per Indian Electricity Regulations for mines.
  • For Posts in Geology Discipline: The candidates should have passed a regular full-time Post-Graduate Degree in Geology with at least 60% marks in aggregate in Graduation and PG level. The minimum Post-Qualification experience is 06 years for E-3 cadre and that is 02 years for E-1 cadre. The Experience should be in carrying out Geological Investigations for assessment of grades and reserves for Ores/ mineral, quality control in Open-cast, Mechanized, and Mettaliferous mines.
  • For Posts in Civil Discipline: The candidates should have passed a regular full-time Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate. The minimum Post-Qualification experience is 06 years for E-3 cadre and that is 03 years for E-2 cadre. The Experience should be in carrying out construction/ maintenance of Civil Engineering Works preferably in mining industry.
  • For Posts in Mechanical Discipline: The candidates should have passed a regular full-time Graduate Degree in Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The minimum 03 years of Post-Qualification experience in open cast metal mines with HEMM and DG sets.
  • For Posts in Environment Discipline: The candidates should have passed a regular full-time Graduate Degree in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Electrical Engineering with at least 60% marks in aggregate. They must have minimum 02 years of Post-Qualification experience in environment management area of mining industry. They must have knowledge of preparation of EIA and EMP reports and obtaining clearance from Ministry of Environment and Forests.

Age of the Candidates:

  • Senior Manager (Grade-E-5): The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 50 years as on the scheduled date (01-June-2014)
  • Manager (Grade-E-4): The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 45 years as on the scheduled date (01-June-2014)
  • Deputy Manager (Grade-E-3): The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 40 years as on the scheduled date (01-June-2014)
  • Assistant Manager (Grade-E-2): The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 35 years as on the scheduled date (01-June-2014)
  • Junior Manager (Grade-E-1): The candidates should not have crossed the max age limit of 33 years as on the scheduled date (01-June-2014)
  • However, relaxation in upper age limit for OBC and SC candidates will be applicable as per rules of Central Government.

Mode of Selection:

  • The selection for these posts will be done through a Personal Interview at Vishakhapatnam.
  • The VSP will short-list candidature as per its prevailing norms for Personal Interview.
  • The final induction will be done after clearing the Pre-Employment Medical Test

Health Standards:

  • The candidates should be medically fit to carry out the tasks assigned. The minimum height is set at 150 cm (143 cm for Female candidates) and should weigh at least 50 Kgs (45 Kg for female). They should not have squint or colour-blindness.
